Happy #ShareSunday , folks! What have you shared recently? I shared my last @fremontbrewing beer not too long ago. I absolutley love their Barrel Aged Dark Star series. They are by far my favorite Oatmeal Stouts. Let's see what I thought of the coffee edition! acquired this beer in a trade.
Name: Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Star - Coffee Edition
Brewery: Fremont Brewing, Seattle, Washington
Style: Imperial Oatmeal Stout
Poured from a 22oz bottle into a taster glass. Consumed on 21Jan18.
NOTE: The coffee in this Dark Star variant was massive and balanced between roasty and sweet. The chocolate was sweet and nearly as grand as the coffee. Unlike when I had this on tap at the brewery, the bourbon was mild and balancing. This is by far my favorite of the series!
OVERALL RATING: 4.75 / 5.0
This is the latest release from @fremontbrewing and it's their Spring seasonal IPA clocking in at 7%ABV and filled to the brim with Columbus, Simcoe, Centennial and Citra hops! This Killer brew goes down smooth and easy! I ain't sleazy! So delicious!
Cheers friends and beerlovers on this Hoppy Friday! 🍻💣💥
Ok enough with the glitter moons and sparkle muffins, it's time for a stout. A Dark Star oatmeal stout. This really smooth and creamy. It actually has a decent hop bite at 50 IBUs. It has a deep chocolate flavor with a rich oaty finish. I give it 5 out 5. One of the better stouts I've had and it's not too heavy. Surprisingly, Fremont brewing is in Seattle #oatmealstout#fremontbrewing#darkstar#darkbeer
Checking out the newest addition to Astoria's beer community: Bridge and Tunnel Bottleshop and Taproom. Killer taplist and some pretty exceptional bottles. Drinking @fremontbrewing's Mountain Daisy IPA--refreshing, crisp, and citrusy, with a dank and resinous finish.
