BLOGGING TIP 🌿
Ok ok, we're not really suggesting you write your best after a sordid night on the town *but* Ernest Hemingway had a point when he dished out this advice. 〰️
Hands up if you finish a paragraph only to go back a scrutinise it mere minutes after writing it? Yeah it's not the best way to get those creative juices flowing. SO - we suggest you write with abandon (no editing along the way 🙅🏼♀️) and re-visit the piece to edit at a different time. Not only will this be like two sets of eyes on the piece, you'll save time editing and re-editing. Smash it out and worry about the particulars later!
Happy hump day Insta peeps! Bright frosty mornings are my fave 💛❄️☀️
Because it's hump day and Wednesdays are all about celebrating the things you're looking forward to (totes just made that up btw), I’m gonna share 3 things I’m looking forward to in the near future. You ready?
1. Going on a weekend break with Ryan, my mum, dad, brother, his gf and the dogs soon. I cannot wait! We do it every year and it always marks the end of winter and the start of spring for me. This year we’re heading to Beck Hole in North Yorkshire 🤗🐣🐰
2. My 30th birthday. It's not until 26th December but I’m already excited about turning 30. My 20s have been a bit of a rollercoaster ride and I’m looking forward to going into my 30s with more knowledge + confidence + stability 👩🏻💻💍👶🏻
3. Buying our house. We’ve been *almost* there for about 2 years now but because we’re both self-employed we’ve held off until we felt a bit more secure. Hopefully this is the year. We’re planning to buy the house we’re currently renting so it won’t be a massive change, but it does mean we’ll *finally* be able to decorate properly and change some things around 🙊🏡💰
Tell me what you're excited about! Let’s make today a fun + positive + exciting day 🤪👍🏻💛
Finally getting this mop chopped today! I’m thinking MUCH shorter and a whole lot of blonde, but we’ll see if I’m still as bold when I’m sat in the chair. It’s been about six months since I last had my hair done - I just always forget to make it a priority. Happy hump day one and all, how’s your week so far? I’ve barely slept because Tom’s working away and when that happens I turn back into a teenager and stay up all night eating Easter eggs and binge-watching Jessica Jones, apparently. Gonna look for a cute coffee shop to work in after the hairdressers because I need to get out of the house (and show off my new do, obviously).
