Not keen on necklace selfies for myself, but Moms vintage costume jewelry wanted to come out to play... Don't you love the little tassel on the end of the fastener? Another piece with sinuous movement, it feels wonderful against the neck. Though I rarely wear it , I'll keep it near, since it reminds me of the look that Mom enjoyed back in the day. I know there's a matching bracelet tucked away somewhere! #vintagejewelry#costumejewelry#francois#retrojewelry#francoisjewelry
This stunning gold-tone necklace is an original prototype. I acquired this directly from a gentleman who was one of the designers at Coro and who is starting to reduce his collection. Tony Angeli was an employee at Vendome, a division of Coro, and worked with the company's lead designer in the 1950s and '60s.
He informed me that this piece never went into production which would make this a one-of-a-kind. This opportunity doesn't come along every day.
This is an authentic Signed Francois piece that no one else in the world has. Francois was a designer that first designed a line of jewelry for Coro in 1938. His line was advertised intending to attract a wealthier clientele. He continued to design for Coro until late into the 1950s. Available now on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/282327314416
