I love to be surrounded by flowers, I mean who doesn’t?! So when my garden is in short supply of pretty blooms, I can now get my fix by looking through my new photo book from @inkifi_instagram. I love seeing my favourites in print! Beautifully presented and the quality is fantastic. My very own coffee table book! *Check out my Stories for a flick through
Tell me it is not just us who end up with never-ending diy issues. The library wall is 90% finished this past two weeks but we can't find the right width of trim to finish it off. The bathroom doors were installed three years ago but we have still got the temporary handles on. The skirting board in the kitchen needs to be cut to size and attached to the wall where we put in shelves in November. I could go on and on. We are not finishers, it seems. Please tell me it is not just us, that you know the problem. Or tell me how to finish a job. That's probably the best thing to do.
Would you like an adventure now, or shall we have our tea first?
-Alice in Wonderland
My new @thesnailmailcollective pen pal - Ash @murderingtime sent me this super beautiful Alice themed letter - how cool is that? And can you believe I haven't actually read the book or seen the film? Have you read it? Did you like it?
Ps. The vintage map overlay is from #rhonnadesigns_app
We had such a busy day yesterday so no one has felt much like doing anything today. Last day of half term for us so just enjoying a slow Sunday. In other news I'm really looking forward to being a guest mentor over on @the.social.gathering later this week. If you would like to know more about this wonderful support network, pop over and take a peek 🌟
Spring is definitely springing, it was sunny all weekend, the days are lengthening and crocuses have appeared in my garden. 🌷💜It looks like I'm not the only one who spotted them. Here's some crocus prettiness from the #inspiredbynature_ feed, thanks @gillgutherie @pears39 @_thehiggsboson_ @sarahpcorder for tagging. Hope you don't mind the early post, I usually do this every other Monday 💜😄
I’ve spent today nursing a v bad hangover after having a bit too much fun last night 🌚🍸 it’s not even 7 and I am already desperate to go to bed 🙈 In other news, I’ve set up a hashtag for all my interiors pics >>#ChezSartorialScot ✨
What kind of weekender are you? Stay at home and relax or get out and make the most of your two free days? We’ve definitely done a little of both this weekend, including a small bedroom makeover for our son and our first National Trust outing of the year 🌿

As I was stitching this dragonfly commission, I remembered sitting on the swing in my garden last summer when I was visited by a dragonfly. In the still of silence hovered beauty of a smaller kind, the type you want to hold, to keep for all of time. It poised over my freshly planted hydrangea, refracting light off its wings and eventually settled on a blade of grass. Having flown the earth for over 300 million years, dragonflies teach me that the secret to change is to focus all my energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new. I’m working on some new and exciting projects in the Olde Sewing Room and can’t wait to share them with you all 🖤
On this lovely Sunday, I practiced my super multitasking skills. Doing some gardening 💦 whilst reading a book 📖 and being all fancy-dancy about it 💃
Unfortunately, this photo can’t hide the fact that I failed big time, managing to water the house instead of the plants 🤦🏻♀️🤣
My multitasking skills are rather 💩 to be honest. Even talking while doing something else will make my sentences come out confused.
Do you like to multitask?
When it comes to sports I love snowboarding and biking but neither of those is happening right now due to various constrictions. So I introduce to you the “slow living” olympics - this particular one is a competition in crocheting without moving your lower body. Essentials include a cup of tea and a flower. #whpmoveit
There are quite a few new people that have popped on over here to my page in the last few days so I guess it’s time to show my face to everyone new. Hi 👋🏼 I’m Jennifer and this is Steve. My future husband and display maker extraordinaire.
We got our engagement photos back yesterday from @theresaeaster_photographer and I’m so excited about them. 💗 I promise I won’t post them all here. You can see a couple more in my stories or highlights. ☺️ Just thought I’d throw my face out there since I don’t do it too often. Thanks to all the new people that have liked my page in the last few days. Welcome! I hope we can share our love of flowers together. ☺️
Tutto è bene quel che finisce be....
Still dreaming of the SPA in the snows, today I am lying down because of a bad fall on skis. This is how the perfect week in the mountains ended. Back to work with back pain. .

This morning whilst I slept in, Jess got up and drove to the @wildflourpastry bakery to pick up some buns for breakfast, she got pecan for herself and this cinnamon roll for me. They're so huge I don't think we'll be hungry for a while!
I am still in my pjs which is a rather glorious feeling although I am aware that I really do need to get dressed if I have any hope of getting to the Sunday market and if we actually want to eat something other than toast later 😂
I’ve finished one of my library books already and am now debating whether to go with a reliable Terry Pratchett (The Last Continent) or the completely unfamiliar (The Taliban Cricket Club), ah, Sunday decisions are so tough... 🤪
Have you joined in with my #natureonthepage hashtag yet? Every Sunday I share the posts that caught my eye the most in my Stories and I save them all in my highlight reel, so if you’re fancy joining in but you’re not sure what to post take a look! I’ve shared this weeks favourites this morning so do hop over to my Stories to see some beautiful florals, botanical creativity and gorgeous art.
PS. I can’t believe this is my first #cs_edithholdenyear post for February, @nikkiinwanderland posted a lovely Edith Holden image and it made me realise I hadn’t done one this month. I know February is the shortest month but it’s definitely flying by, it’ll be March before we know it! Happy Sunday folks 😘
CHAÏ TIME ✨
