Been dying to try this! I’m a FREAK about granola with raisins! As a kid I used to add extra raisins because I loved how they tasted in milk 😂 this is my new favorite granola! It’s so cinnamony and hearty. It tastes so good with the milk too! The crunch is great and extra crunchy just how I like my granolas. We can’t forget the best part! RAISINS. Super mushy in the milk and all I want to do is pick them all into one bowl 😂 @cascadianfarm is also an organic brand that makes a great statement and is healthy! I’m trying the fruit and nut one next! 10/10!
I drink a protein shake almost everyday and I LOVE trying new recipes with protein powder to replace some of my old favorite foods 🥤. This recipe is for a MOCHA FROZEN COFFEE (aka Mocha Frappuccino). This recipe is a great way to start your day with coffee and a little bit of protein to keep you full until your next meal.✨✨
1 scoop chocolate @morellifit protein powder
1 scoop vanilla @morellifit protein powder
4 oz unsweetened almond milk
4 oz GRIND cold brew concentrate (double the intensity when brewing)
1 cup (or more) of ice
Combine ingredients together in blender and blend for 30-60 seconds or until desired consistency.
Makes 1 serving (180 calories, 6 g carbs, 3.5 g fat, 27 G protein). Comment below if you want to see more recipes!!
I’m probably the worst person to review @maynardsbassetts liquorice all sorts as I hate black licorice but @productsinstore has requested! This is going to be biased 😂. Comment below if you like black licorice! Honestly though this might be the best worst black licorice I’ve ever had 😝! I tried each shape and I think my favorite was that little black gummy guy as it wasn’t very bitter and the gummy texture helped it not be so bad! I think I also usually hate the texture of black licorice as it’s soft and has a weird mushiness to it. These aren’t as bad as usual so if you like black licorice I would recommend you try these as you’ll probably love them! The strawberry little square was my second favorite since it didn’t have much black licorice in it! I wouldn’t buy these again just because I’m not a fan of black licorice but overall if you are I think you’d really like these ones! 6/10!
His and hers 😁 (cos you can’t force your journey on anyone but you can motivate and inspire !)
Moral- If you regularly crave food types that aren’t good for your health then find a way to satisfy the craving without compromising on your wellbeing.
One of my biggest challenges when I first started on the plant based journey was letting go of the cheeeeese! As much as I missed it at first (even now occasionally!), slowly I started noticing how much more improved my gut health was when the dairy was removed from my diet- especially the heavily processed form like cheese. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 Initially I went cold turkey for a couple of months but not I just make sure that 80% of my food intake is clean and plant based.
I Now batch prep spelt flour pizza bases for my freezer, to ensure when my body wants pizza I have a clean option at the ready! 🍕
The odd time I may end up having a ‘traditional’ pizza slice, it just serves as a reminder now as to why I prefer the DIY option.
How much does this look like a lion bar?! Catch is a dark chocolate bar with a soft caramel center and Rice Krispies from Trinidad again! This is almost a lion bar! This had a very dark chocolate taste! You can totally tell it’s dark chocolate. I personally don’t hate that but don’t love it either! I really enjoyed the textures in this bar though. The Rice Krispies in this bar really make the bar what it is and give it a nice crunch. The caramel is super soft too and they go well together. I don’t love this but I don’t hate it! Lion bars are definitely better! Who else has tried this! 6.5/10!
I think we can agree that if you’re looking for a place to get a low calorie breakfast, Dunkin Donuts is probably not going to top your list. That being said, I think that wherever we are we can find better & worse choices (in terms of helping us reach our goals) and if we’re interested in making a better choice we can find one😎
I was in DD with my kiddo the other afternoon picking her up after an after school-outing with her friend. I looked over the menu while I was waiting for the girls to finish their snack. DD actually has the calories on the menu board, which is amazingly helpful in making a useful choice as it’s one less barrier (you don’t even have to pull up the nutrition info on your phone🙌)
Obviously the donuts, as delicious as they are, aren’t a great choice. The calories aren’t crazy high, but for the volume of food you get and how long they’ll keep you full (actually even their ability to get you full in the first place,) they’re high. A chocolate frosted donut is 280 calories and 3 grams of protein for example.
The two sandwiches on the left of this graphic are both on higher calorie “buns”- (a bagel and croissant.) Both use whole eggs and the Double sausage sandwich doubles up on the meat. You see this reflected in the calorie counts: 710 for the Croissant and 890 for the double sausage.
In the right hand column you can see that the calories are half as much in two of the cases (and that’s even with getting 2 of the wake-up wraps!) Those total 380 calories for 2. The flatbread uses egg whites and comes in at only 330 calories, while the English muffin is filled with lower calorie turkey sausage and totals the highest of the 3 at 470 calories (it’s also higher in protein though as well.)
Bottom line: You can make better low calorie options at home, but as a one off the options on the right are pretty good and definitely more helpful if you’re trying to eat in a deficit than the ones on the left😎
Hope this helps💕💪
food swap sweet, savoury, takeaway menu and recipe swap.. sent to germany and received from Greece (but sadly my postman dint leave any message so this mail was sent back..) 😭
GOING VEGAN:PROS AND CONS
Going vegan helps with digestion due to the increase in fiber you get from the increase in vegetables and fruit intake. This may also result in better skin since digestive issues are commonly related with skin issues. Many people also see an increase in their energy levels and tend to lose weight since plant foods are less calorically dense.
You might experience bloating at first due to the sudden increase in fiber in your diet. However this tends to diminish with time. You might also find the diet to be too restrictive since it takes out an entire food group. Keep this in mind if you don’t have a great relationship with food and/or have a eating-disorder-related past. You might also lose weight and this might be a con if you’re not looking to do so/ are trying to gain weight. While this is not the case for all people, veganism can also be more expensive if you end by buying meat substitutes in order to replace meat.
With just a few small #food swaps you can bump up your #nutrition while reducing calories.
Resulting in weight loss, increased energy and vibrant skin. .📅

OMG you guys! My favorite lollipop company growing up as a kid sent me their lollipop range and I could cry of happiness 😭 @lindaslollies was my favorite as a child and they still are! They are huge round lollis that take up your whole mouth! They have started in 1984 by Linda Harkavy who made them on her stovetop! Isn’t that nuts I didn’t know you can make lollipops on a stove! They sent me ALL 18 flavors which is just beyond generous! I’m obsessed with the tie die ones too! They are just so cool and pretty. I didn’t even know they had such cool flavors. I used to eat strawberry and tutti fruity but looks like that’s not a flavor anymore. Mint chocolate chip, cotton candy, rainbow sherbet, blueberry muffin, blue raz watermelon, pirate punch, pina colada, root beer float, and so many more! If you haven’t tried these yet you guys have too! They are a secret of mine! I can’t wait to try all of these flavors 💕
Thanks to @productsinstore for sending me some goodies! They sent me some products they wanted me to review and try that they love so here I go! @barrattsweets milk bottles! 😍 I’ve had milk bottles before and I didn’t like them. But these are different and are pretty cool! They are bland yet interesting. If you live in California or Los Angeles, you know that mochi topping on froyo is pretty popular. (I’m not sure if it is anywhere else, comment below!) This is really similar to that! It doesn’t have much taste to it but has an interesting soft texture to them! They melt as you eat them. They also have this powder coating that you can clearly see gets all over your hands. It’s hard to explain what this is like as there’s no taste really. I guess you can say it’s milky. It’s mostly the texture and the smooth powder that makes it what it is. I don’t know if I would purchase these as a snack if I was hungry but I’d eat them if they were in front of me 🙈😂 7.5/10!
🌳🌸Welcome Spring! ☀️Oh that warm sunshine on my face this morning when I opened my front door! Never mind that there is still snow on the ground, I officially declare the salads season open! 🥗 Instead of croûtons, I sprinkled my salad today with a crunchy savory granola, spiced with Garam Masala, yummy! 😋This is one of the many gluten free swaps I do in my everyday cooking. I love to look for creative alternatives beyond what the gluten free section of my grocery store offers. Speaking of which, I am currently preparing you an inspiring list of my top gf swaps, including recipes, but ssshhht... it's still under 'cooking'...🤫In the meanwhile, would you like the recipe of my savory granola ?🐵 .
🇫🇷🌳🌸Bonjour Printemps! 🐵 .
I had and early morning belly laugh at the expense of my coworker @sylviemcdonald. Props to her hubby for slipping a potato in with her pears. 😂🤣😂 And yes, she has already started in on her lunch. Haha! #hesgotjokes#switcharoo#foodswap#doyouseethepotato ?
Here’s another great visual and explanation! Another option for weight loss goals can be to reduce the nut butter portion (1-2 tbsp is 90-200 cal). In this pic it looks like double the amount (good for weight gain goals)
#repost @caloriefixes .
SNACKS! Healthy vs. Healthy
147 calories | 455 calories
Both of these are considered 'healthy snack ideas'. But depending on your health goals, one option may work better than the other..
Left: Cucumber + Humous
This may be an option for someone aiming to LOSE WEIGHT
Right: Apple with Peanut Butter
This may be an option for someone trying to GAIN WEIGHT
This is not to say that a person trying to gain/lose weight should only be choosing one or the other, but if you have specific health goals, certain types of foods/ quantities/ frequencies/ macros could help you reach your goals quicker.
Two different people may have completely opposite goals.
So, at the end of the day, the MORE we know about our foods and what we are putting into our body, the healthier we can be, and the quicker we can achieve our goals, even by making the smallest changes💪🏻⭐️
✏️Counting calories or macros is not for everyone and THAT IS COMPLETELY OK!
Healthy swaps and being more mindful can be just as helpful🙂

Perfect snack for a movie night. The serving size should be 2 1/2 cups. Look for low sodium brands (140mg average) and with of course no butter or any other flavor added, only natural.
One serving has about 70 calories, 4g of fiber and 3g of protein. Tag the person you’re binge watching netflix with.
Do you see this?! new @nestlechocolates l’atelier! Cranberries, almonds, and hazelnuts. I’m sorry but this is me if I was ever a chocolate bar! I love raisins or cranberries in chocolate! It’s lily my guilty pleasure! And hazelnuts? Oh boy this is trouble for me! This bar is soooo good. It might be a new favorite of mine. The milk chocolate is creamy and moist. The cranberries give it such a chewy texture it’s so fun! And the nuts give it a crunch and delicious nutty taste! I can’t get over how you can see full size nuts and cranberries! I think it might be one of the most interesting chocolate bar designs yet! I really loved this and if you like raisins or cranberries even half as much as I do you’ll love this! I’m actually dying right now and want to eat the whole bar! 10/10 easily. 🙌🏼💕

Yess I love myself a chocolate wafer! This is made in Trinidad thanks to @tastyislandcrate I get to try it! Yes you heard me... Trinidad! It was your basic chocolate covered wafer with a chocolate filling inside. I did love how light and airy this was. The chocolate was anything to die for but it really wasn’t bad either! It seemed like an average bar to me! But it’s really cool and fun to try these products! Is anyone here from Trinidad? 6.5/10!

** Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bars *** Preparation Time - - 20 minutes
Cooking Time - - 0 minutes
Servings: - -16 to 24 bars
INGREDIENTS : - -
2 cups vanilla or chocolate protein powder (organic if you can)
2 tbsp coconut flour
1/2 tsp sea salt
2 cups natural peanut butter (check out the health food section of your grocery store)
6 tbsp coconut oil (not solid)
3 tbsp agave syrup
100g dark chocolate (70%), chopped
METHOD: - -
In a large bowl add the protein powder, coconut flour, and sea salt. Stir to combine.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, coconut oil, and agave syrup until smooth.
Add peanut butter mixture to protein powder mixture and stir until you get a thick dough.
Line an 20cm square pan with plastic wrap and transfer dough into the pan.
Press the dough down evenly with your fingers. Place the pan in the freezer for 2 hours to set (or overnight). Once the dough has set, remove the pan from the freezer. Remove the dough from the pan by grabbing the corners of the plastic wrap and lifting the dough out.
Remove the plastic wrap and then cut into 16 to 24 bars (depending on the size you make them). Arrange the bars on baking paper and place in the fridge while you prepare the chocolate topping.
In a double boiler, melt the chocolate, being careful not to burn it. Once melted, remove from the heat.
Remove the bars from the fridge, and using a spoon, drizzle the melted chocolate over the bars. Then place the bars back in the fridge to allow the chocolate to set (about 15 minutes). Once set, store the bars in an air-tight container in the fridge (they will lose their shape at room temperature). ______
Don't forget to tag us if you make and share our recipe. 😊😊
Yes I’m on ‘prep’ & yes I’m eating chilli in tortilla boats & rice! You’ve got to be clever with what you eat when watching your calorie intake - I’ve swapped out some meat for veg keeping the chilli lower cal, passata (no sugar in sauce) and 95% lean mince from @ukfreshmeats light cheese & very low fat sour cream. All this food for around 550 calories, for a few clever swaps 🙃 carbs are high but I need them today to help me through a low calorie week ahead! #prepdiet#chilliconcarne#healthyswaps#foodswap
Finally getting to try these! @kitkat senses from the uk thanks to lovely @productsinstore! These are the most adorable/ luxurious looking kit kats I’ve ever seen! The box and wrapping paper on the KitKats was amazing. I love how little they are and am definitely going to put them in a candy jar in my house! Not only are they cute, they are YUMMMYYY! They all look the same from the outside but taste different! The hazelnut was my favorite as it had a strong nutty taste and was so good. The double chocolate had a thick layer of chocolate as you can see from the top! It was a very chocolatey taste! I’ve tried salted caramel kit kats before and wasn’t impressed but I was by these! The caramel actually tasted real and not artificial! It was subtle but you can taste it! I love all these and thought they tasted even milkier then usual! What’s your favorite flavor? I say hazelnut, double chocolate, then salted caramel but I love them all! This pack gets a 10/10!
HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY! 🍀Celebrating with something green! @mcvitiesofficial hazelnut nibbles! I’ve reviewed the milk chocolate ones of these and that they were pretty good! These are better cuz HAZELNUT! They are very similar to the milk chocolate only they have a hazelnut flavor to them! The biscuit inside is what is hazelnut flavored it’s really interesting! Personally the hazelnut isn’t an amazing hazelnut as it’s not very rich or nutty. But all hazelnut is good am I right? These are simple and a yummy treat! The biscuit is super crunchy! I think I prefer rice crispy balls over biscuit ones. What do you prefer?! 7/10!
