I had high hopes of 404 Kitchen and was very disappointed. I had anticipated the scallop toast for a week, and while the scallops were perfectly prepared, they were served on sourdough toast, the chewiness of which overpowered the delicate scallop. The beef tartare was excellently prepared served with a light tortilla like bread which did not provide enough texture contrast to the tartare. Pictured is the lamb sugo and beets which I had for the main course.
Healthier chicken marsala. Instead of all butter I used olive oil and just a tad of butter. Just pat both sides chicken with some flour, cook through in olive oil and set aside. Sautee 🍄and onions, add chicken broth and Marsala wine in. Add back chicken in and cook till sauce thickens. Serve with broccoli and yummy roasted 🥔. Swipe for recipe.
Super easy weeknight food. Sliced pork loin (organic from @fairwaymarket) with peppers, onions, garlic, chunks of ginger and shittake mushrooms. Add in green onions at the end. Basically stir fry whatever you have. I served on top of @nasoya noodles. Also, I’m not great on measurements for Chinese recipes. Soooo......
✅Some soy sauce
✅Lotta red peppers flakes
✅Oil to stir fry
Remove the ginger afterwards before serving and serve with noodles or rice
Thanks @cookinglight for the inspiration! Tandoori spiced chicken. I modified a little bit and added tomato paste. Marinate overnight and roast at 375 for 1/2 hour and put on top rack for another 10 minutes at 400. Serves with store bought naan with chopped garlic. Hmmm .
Ingredients for marinade:
1 1/2 cups plain 2% reduced-fat Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons grated onion
1 tablespoon grated peeled fresh ginger
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tblspn tomato paste
Welp...vacation over and it’s time to get back on track. Simple eats but still full of flavor. Grilled chicken breasts topped with bruschetta (tomatoes 🍅, onion, basil 🌿, garlic powder, salt, pepper, evoo , tbalsamic vinegar) served with whole wheat cous void and sautéed mushrooms.
I get inspiration everywhere. I needed to try something new so I tried this but with my own twist
Mixture was chopped 1/2 onion, 1 roast pepper, 1 fresh jalapeños, 2 inch grated fresh ginger, squeeze of half a lime, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tblspn brown sugar and 8 pieces of chicken 🐔
I roasted chicken in 375 degree oven and after 20 min, turned the pieces and coated it with the mixture and cooked for another 20 minutes
Turn oven to 400 degrees and for last 10 minutes, skin side up, place on top rack for 10 more minutes. You can also grill but it’s damn cold outside. Served with brown rice
Tonight's dinner: sticky spicy Korean chicken wings with cauliflower. Cauliflower is sautéed in a little oil with 🥕 seasoned with a little salt, white pepper and few dashes of sesame oil 🔥🍗🔥🍗🔥🍗🔥🍗 #sometimesjusthavetohavewhiterice#iamsoasian
I try to incorporate turmeric at least once a week cause it's #goodforyou . Easy way is this curry powder packet from @wholefoods. Just sautée chicken in a little oil and at the end add the powder and a little salt. I also add cayenne pepper 🌶 for some heat! This was SO-simpo (say it with Chinese accent - do it)
