#tbt one of the most memorable salmon I have caught. On the 12th of August 2017 it was sunny day with low water conditions at @ballogieestate. I caught and released a fresh grilse then continued down to the lip of the Potarch waterfall when my line went tight. I had no idea how I would manage to land the fish it was going up and down the heavy water above the falls. Finally I thought I started to tire the fish when it suddenly headed straight for the falls and cartwheeled over! I then managed to run (falling twice) over the boulders and get parallel to the fish and finally land it. To land this fish took all of my skill and a lot of luck! #thanksforthedance#LTSmoments @ltsflyfishinguk
Just a little flashback to my first Arctic Grayling. I wasn't actually targeting Grayling at the time. I was after Rainbow Trout and ended up with this one on my Adam's Fly. Maybe I will get into some more this year on purpose...
