First day back in the gym since my meet😯This was the first time ever that I haven’t been back at it the very next day but waking up sick forced me to actually chillll for once😩 Also I think my biceps are shrinking (well yaaa I don’t train umm) and weirdly enough I don’t really care🤷♀️ I’ve been asked a lot if/when I’ll step back up on the figure stage but honestly at this point the desire isn’t there and my body doesn’t feel recovered and ready for a bodybuilding prep. Luckily I’ve found a new sport to obsess over😍

For those of you trying to burn some fat for the upcoming Summer SAVE THIS little lesson on cardio.
How many of you go to the gym, jump on a treadmill and run for 30 minutes not really knowing if it’s even doing anything? I’m going to break things down for ya in a very simple way.
Everyone has a “FAT BURNING RANGE.” To find this range there’s a very simple formula called the Karvonen Formula. One thing this formula does, it calculates your MAX heart rate. To do this you take 220 and minus your age for example -(220-24) = 196. This would be your MAX heart rate.
NOW in order to get your “FAT BURNING RANGE” all you need to do is multiply that number by 60-70% of your max heart rate. EX - 196 multiplied by 65% = 127.4. You want to keep that heart rate for the duration of your workout to make sure your burning the maximum amount of fat as possible. Try this out the next time you decide to do ANY type of cardio.
