Happy Monday!! ⬇️⬇️READ below for some wise Monday Motivation💪
So I finally got home yesterday around 3 or 4pm and I literally slept from then until 7:30 this morning..I even slept through my 6:30 alarm!! But anyways, I made myself go to the gym this morning even though I was not feeling too hot because, ya know, ⬆️NO EXCUSES⬆️
My boyfriend said something to me the other day that really stuck with me and I don’t even think he meant to. He told me to just START. When I was complaining about how much homework I had to do he told me to just start it, that’s all. He told me I can take as long as I need to finish it but as long as I just start it I’m okay.
I started putting that mindset towards everything else in my schedule and it’s really made a difference. When something stresses me out, something that I’m really dreading, I’ll usually just avoid it all together until the last possible second I can. What I’m now realizing is that just starting something, even if I don’t think I can finish it—or don’t want to spend the time finishing it—can make a huge difference in my schedule because most of the time I WILL end up finishing that task. When I don’t, I know that instead of wasting those few hours contemplating what I should be doing, I utilized that time to improve myself and my schedule at least a little bit. A little bit is better than nothing at all. .
I made myself go to the gym today even though I made up all the excuses in the world before walking in bc just getting in there and starting my workout is all I needed to do. I didn’t get the best workout in bc I felt so shitty today (prob due to lack of sleep/eating unhealthy) but the point is that I STILL made it there and I got SOMETHING done instead of nothing. I didn’t allow myself to have any excuses. .
That being said, I hope this post motivates you to do whatever it is that you’re dreading today, or at least motivates you to JUST START. You’d be surprised at how much you can actually do compared to what you tell yourself you can do. Xoxo 💋
LET’S TALK BALANCE 💙
Balance is not something you FIND, it’s something you CREATE ✨
I know from personal experience how hard it can be to live a balanced lifestyle where you trying to balance out your exercise, healthy eating, social life & work. I mean it’s not something that is easy. It all comes down to trial & error & what works for YOU. What may work for me, may not work for you & that’s why I thought I should share some tips with you to creating that balance in your life 🌸
❥ Organise/ plan your week in advance when it comes to exercise & healthy eating so you can prepare your meals & know what you doing when you step into that gym.
❥ Create a routine that works for you throughout the week e.g. Monday 👉🏼 Friday - stick to gym & healthy meal plan ; Weekends - intuitive eating & enjoying yourself by means of having a cheat & a few drinks with friends. I believe that it’s so important to have that balance where you can still go out & enjoy yourself every now & then! ❥ Keep your weekends semi-active by means of doing fun outdoor activities e.g. hike, surf, cycle on the promenade or go for a sunset walk. ❥ LISTEN to YOUR body. Go by how your body feels. I feel this is one of the key aspects to creating that balance within your life. If you craving something, indulge in it (I’m not say no binge eat) - your body is clearly telling you something. If you feeling like you still not 100% recovered from a sickness, rest up & take it easy! ❥ Make sure you make time your friends & family too! Studying/ work taking up all your free time? Take a break for an hour & catch up with your loved ones! ❥ Start fresh in a new week! If you wanting to start a new eating/ gym plan - always start on the Monday. There’s just something about a Monday which signifies a “fresh start”. If you you the type of person who can start fresh on any day, well then that’s what works for you & do it! Just remember you don’t need a Monday to start fresh but if you know starting something new on a Monday works for you, then that’s what you do!

been slowing down posting lately on purpose, but that does not mean things have slowed down. In fact, it’s the opposite 💥
Sports bra: @forever21
Mmm! Underbart🙄💖😍🙏
