Ok. It’s time to be real and honest.
I used to struggle REALLY bad with nutrition...emotional eating, stress eating, bored eating, binge eating, sad eating, anxiety eating.
Ok you get the idea and have probably heard my story before!
As many of you know, I’m doing an 80 Day Program and have been so amazed at how ON TRACK I’ve been with this nutrition plan! I love it!
I have to be honest though and say that my mindset was all over the place yesterday and I caved to my old eating habits and got OFF TRACK.
I’m sharing this not for the pity party but to let you know I’m nowhere near perfect but I’m working on myself everyday.
My old self would have been like “screw it, I will just get back on track MONDAY”. Who can relate to that way of thinking?! 🙋🏽♀️ But I’m on track today!! Because I have the accountability through my challenge group and the simple plan I’ve been following I’m STRONGER than before. ONE meal isn’t going to ruin results. ✌🏼 Today was day 60 of this program and the results speak for themselves! 💪🏼 I’m starting another 80 Day Challenge on April 30th and my prep group starts April 2nd! I’m looking for 10 MORE ladies to join me on this journey of imperfect perfection.

What in the holy universe happened today?!?? 🌎🤪⚡️🦄 I woke up late (alarm didn’t go off) then spent the morning picking up spills and messes by the kids, shadowed by the dog🐶 and feeling totally off.
Enter my workout which was a scheduled 50 mins and ended up being 2 hours due to.. oh everything 😂 #momlife .... followed by a great visit by my sister and brother in law🙆🏼♀️ Corinna took a single 3 hour nap, then Olivia fell asleep in the truck without a fight😱
I guess I can spare you the rest of the days details as they aren’t much more exciting than the morning, but my point of the story is that even when things aren’t going your way, it’s never a reason to totally give up🙈 a few setbacks never mean stop. It just means a few things are changing, shifting, adjusting and the universe has some stuff in store for you. Be willing to accept what’s happening at face value, then release it and move on.
Something that I’ve learned through my coaching journey is to take time for ME every morning. I wake up early so that I have the time to focus on what I want for our lives 👨👩👧👧 and how to create a life for my family without stress and worry when we want to do fun things or need something unplanned. I wake up early, I go to bed late, I make sacrifices, but never take away from my time with family. I believe that when something lights your soul up with passion because you just LOVE creating magic in others lives🌟 there is no such thing as excuses or waiting.

Throwing back to a Thursday before I started this journey… .
What did it look like? 🤔
Well, it involved too much of the wrong kinds of foods, not enough movement, and no plan for how to fix what I was doing wrong. I wanted to change. I wanted to be committed to something and stick with it for more than a month at a time. But nothing wasn’t clicking.
I tried many fad diets and ‘quick fix’ challenges. Which usually meant depriving myself of certain types of foods. Ya, I would lose weight… but it would come back on as soon as I stopped. .
Fast forward to today and I have a plan, I eat much healthier (and I still get treats), I exercise almost daily and feel stronger than I ever have. It took me seeing someone elses journey, that person reaching out to me and inviting me to check out what this healthy lifestyle is all about. .
I can’t believe I ever thought I couldn’t do it, or even had doubts about the whole program. I hoped that this time would be different. That this time it would work. That this time it would click and stick. And it DID! .
I have more ENERGY, lost weight, toned up (#workinprogress ) and overall FEEL so much better than I ever have! .

I hesitantly signed up to be a “coach” 3 years ago last week. I had been a challenger for about month and was told I could get a 25% discount on my shakes (which I had become obsessed with) and any other Beachbody products if I became a coach. It was kind of a no-brainer to sign up. Who doesn’t like saving money on something they want to continue to use?
But I told my coach that I wasn’t interested in trying to sell stuff and was strictly doing this for the discount. I am NOT a salesperson and the thought of trying to be salesy made my skin crawl and my neck and face get blotchy. (Anyone else do that? 😳) Then people started asking questions about what I was doing. How was I losing weight? What kind of workouts was I doing? What was I eating?
And that’s when it clicked. This whole coaching thing wasn’t about being salesy and trying to push products on people, it was about helping people. Helping them lose weight. Helping them be happy in their own skin. Helping them cope with life’s stresses in healthy, productive ways. I would be rude if I didn’t fill them in on my “secrets.” Who am I to hog all of the health and happiness?
Now that Parker is here I’m realizing how amazing this coach opportunity really is. I’m bringing in a second income by helping people, but not missing out on any time with my baby. I can work from my recliner, the floor, or in the car (when Brandon’s driving 😉) I can work in the morning when I’m pumping, when Parker’s napping on my chest after school, and at night after she goes to bed.

Anyone else just feel so much more body confident when they were pregnant? It's ridiculous. Like you lose your hard earned muscle, gain fat, fluid, cellulite galore yet you still look great?! It's absurd! Currently going on 12 weeks where the scales have not shifted at all and my clothes still don't fit! You can't help but get a little disheartened when you're working hard but getting nowhere 😭 I know I'm still not quite eating enough for the fact that I'm breastfeeding so I will have to work on that. But ahh so frustrating! I'm excited to start the 6 week challenge with @kassimansfield in a couple weeks! Hopefully that will get me some results! 🤗 Please send me some positivity! Can I tell you a secret? I used to hate my legs. And my ass. And my height. And my boobs. And my tiny stretch marks on my tummy. But ESPECIALLY...my legs. Cuban genetics gifted me with these tree trunks. I hated wearing shorts in public. Big long T-shirt’s and cheer shorts were always worn to cover up a bikini bottom at the beach. For YEARS I fought it...did everything in my power to get as tiny and lean as possible so these legs would disappear. Extreme dieting. Hours of cardio. Abused diet pills. Got down to 118lbs. It STILL wasn’t enough...
One day I read something. “Would you say to your child the things you say to yourself about yourself?” Damn that hit HARD. 😭 I could never in a million years or even for millions of dollars tell my daughter to her face...”you’re not good enough. No matter what you do, you will never be good enough.” What kind of self love example am I setting for this little girl who will one day become a woman and have to contend with a bunch of nobodies in the real world telling her she’s not good enough? Will I teach her to accept it, agree with it, and sell herself short of anything and everything that she deserves? Or to know better, to be better, and to rise above it and carry on like the bad little bitch that I know she is...born and raised of Bad Bitch Bloodlines. .
So I took my perceived “weaknesses”...my “flaws”....and I beat em to hell but this time...with acceptance. With love. With proper nourishment. With heavy weights. Heavy volume. And surrounded myself with those on the same Operation: Tree Trunks journey. Now...I can honestly say...from the strong foundation up, I LOVE ❤️ my body. And if the bikini 👙 bottom is any more coverage than Brazilian cut, I just ain’t having it. 🙅🏻♀️

I'm down 9 lbs & fitting into pants that I haven't seen in 3 Years! I have Never in my life been this Fit & I am still not done! I still have 20 days left!

Is today the day you finally say Yes? ****And today my period started, look no bloating!
We see a lot of pictures and post that show flattering angles and poses that can be misleading. This can be discouraging for a lot of women because we feel to the need to live up to these unrealistic expectations of this #instasociety we live in. I personally struggle everyday not to want the body and the tan of every Instagram model I scroll past. I will never be that nor do I really want to be that. I work hard to have a healthy and fit body even if my stomach isn’t sculpted with a six pack and has a few stretch marks or that my booty has some unwanted dimples. Accepting my body for its small imperfections is a struggle but it’s one I am over coming. 💜💪🏻

My journey in the health and fitness world has genuinely changed my life🙏💗 I had this misconception in the beginning 🤔 that I needed to learn everything first, do everything right, eat perfect, workout perfect, start at the perfect time, keep my mistakes to myself or no one would lend credibility to my help in their own journey. Then I realized...Who believes in perfect? Not me & probably not many of you!
Being a fitness coach has allowed me to help myself and others to be real with their journey🙏✌🏻️💗. Showing moms how to fit in a 30 minute workout while their baby is sleeping, or how to do a quick 5 minute workout at the office during break, how to prep food in advance that actually tastes good, and realizing every day will not be perfect. We will all make mistakes, but that's what makes us real. Some of us wait to start a program because we have a big party coming up or we have a vacation or whatever the reason is that we convince ourselves it's not the right time. The most difficult step is the FIRST ONE! And the commitment is to the journey of learning how to incorporate health, fitness, and clean eating into your current crazy busy lifestyle. It's not a commitment to perfection. You can start changing your life and your family's life today just as easy as tomorrow.
