I had some frustrated moments today with the cues in my work out ... I thought, if I were blind I wouldn’t know what the heck to do, but then I turned it around and was Grateful that I had sight. Then I was frustrated that she was transitioning too fast and I couldn’t keep up, then I was grateful that I am at home and not paying $20 for a class with an instructor where I can’t curse out loud and then realize I can also press pause. Then all during my work out I heard how frustrated Ryan was with the kids and It was soo distracting then I realized I am grateful I have e a wonderful partner in life that knows how important my me time is to me. Every frustrating moment, I became more grateful for everything u DO have 🙏
There’s always an opportunity to turn each thought around to something grateful, and a grateful attitude creates more positivity in your life ❤️❤️❤️ I was inspired because of a guy in the movie who was paralyzed by an airplane crash and was told he would be a vegetable for the rest of his life but he still had his mind... and he concentrated on visualizing walking out of the hospital on Christmas Day, and he did ❤️It was a miracle, but I believe that the mind is REALLY that powerful 💜 “Gratitude is the best attitude”

Anyways, I totally crushed my workout this morning 💪🏻 70min cycle class, which ended up being my highest mileage ever at 16.3mi, and a 5 mile run at 8:30 min/mi pace. Time to do some cleaning and then get ready to meet up w my gal @plantandsimpleeats for some vegetarian sushi! 🍣

🍫 The milk chocolate bar has a whooping 44g carbs, 41g sugar only 2g fiber and 370 calories! The dark chocolate bar shown on the other hand had 13g carbs, 6g sugar, 5g fiber & 250 calories. With dark chocolate, you’ll feel fuller faster with the add fiber & won’t go through such a big insulin spike & crash.
🌽 Vegetable oil and canola oils are highly processed, heated, bleached, refined and deodorized. The hight heat these oils go through have negative impact on the healthy compounds in the oils & are stripped of much of their omega-3 fatty acids in the processing. Extra Virgin Olive oil is produced by cold pressing and doesn’t use chemicals for refinement & also avoids high heat treatment, leaving it full of heart healthy fats.
🥑 Sour cream adds about 40 calories & 6g of fat per quarter cup but doesn’t add much nutritionally. Guacamole on the other hand adds antioxidants, about 4g of fiber, potassium + more per quarter cup. Plus, you get all the heart healthy fats from the avocado.

Today's workout was not pretty! I wanted to throw in the towel so many times, but I kept pushing through. I had to take breaks and modify but thats perfectly okay! Matcha + Kefir smoothie for the win 🌿
First of all, what’s kefir? It’s similar to yogurt in that it’s a fermented dairy product with live active cultures.
What’s the difference between yogurt + kefir? Kefir has 2 to 3 times the amount of active cultures than yogurt and can have up to 20 different types of probiotics.
So it’s great for your GUT 😄 Probiotics are the good bacteria that your gut needs for digestion + hormone regulation

15 minute low carb protein & greens bowl.
Clocks in at 320 calories, 26 grams protein, 10 grams carbs. Amazingly filling and a bunch of different textures which is my jam.
Can be modified easily for less carbs (substitute out the sweet potato for more avocado), more carbs (brown rice, quinoa, chickpea pasta), or whatever else you need to get it on your level!
To make this version:
1. I mixed Whole Foods grassfed beef with taco seasoning (made a bunch to use throughout the week). Then put into 4 oz Portions.
2. Served on top of 2 cups baby kale and spinach, 1 tbsp garlic hummus, 1/4 cup roasted sweet potato, a couple pieces avocado, a few slices hot green peppers, and some microgreens.
4. Feel good.
After being away from the gym for 2 weeks because of my flu🤧, it was pure bliss to be back. No an easy start though.... but... "No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch."😉
Out of this world breakfast this morning at @brochan.cafe !!!! Literally all of their food is amazing - I got the blueberry banana pumpkin seed oats with PUMPKIN SEED BUTTER (!!!!!!!!!!) and my friend got the pb banana toast and a chocolate hazelnut smoothie. Incredible!
