Gym time! Yesterday I ran my fastest two miles since college! My goal has been to get to 2 miles in 20 and I did 2 in 20:45! So my legs were a little tired today but I made it through leg day! I am so excited that I’m seeing results and keeping at it! I can feel confidence starting to come back and I have so much more energy. Last week my eating wasn’t the greatest (I discovered zupas! 😂and Valentine’s Day ) but this week I am back on track!

Let's go! Heres is some personal experience.  When I started my fitness journey in 2014 I couldn't do a single pushup even on my knees NOT ONE!  I'd start to go down and just buckle to the floor. I was so weak I couldn't push my weight off the floor on my knees. Some times I hear people say, " I'm not gonna do that, it's to hard.." Yea it's meant to be hard!  JUST try your best. You don't change from doing what you can do. Change happens from the things you work at and after all the hard work you can finally do it. .

Coming in from Coach @cjmoxley Calf Tip Tuesday (that’s a thing right?) Due to the nature of how the calves function and the fact that most calf exercises have almost the exact same resistance profile, if you want to train them through their full range of motion sometimes you need to get creative.

The calves’ strength profile drops off so rapidly as you get to the fully shortened position that if you select a load that you can control there you’re not going to come close to creating significant tension in the mid or lengthened positions.

So this is where an ascending set with variable tempo comes in to play.

Start with a weight that you can get the calves fully shortened and squeeze for 1-2 seconds. 
Once you can no longer either get fully contracted or hold a 1-2 second isometric ADD WEIGHT.

Then continue to train the bottom 75-50% of the range with a constant tempo, focusing on maintaining tension and initiating with the calves.

Do not bounce out of the bottom.

In this example here is what the set looks like written out:
8-10 reps, 2112 tempo
Add +20-25% to the weight
Reps to failure down to partials, 2010 tempo

Daily prep. Vegetables are just as important as meats and protein powders. Number one thing everyone ask me is “what supplements do I take”. Nigga none! Not a fucking thing until you have come to a point of true understanding of the mind and body. Seriously, think for a little. I know more than half you mother fuckers won’t touch a damn cold medicine but you’ll buy some shit that has been put through numerous processes because it makes you “feel” and it’s easy to scoop something rather than eat. That “feel” you seek is a connection between the mind and the body. Focus on it, develop it, master it. I challenge you all here to take down one salad a day. An actual salad. Here I have Spinach, Kale, Cherry Tomato, Garlic, Pink Seasalt, Pepper, Dill, Turmeric, Ground Cloves, Freshly made hot salsa and topped off with lemon juice. I’m giving you a great example of what you should “take”. Get to it 💪🏾

Last week I decided to change up my training and give myself a new challenge with completing a run to row 5K twice a week. I also thought it would be fun to add in something else to push myself even harder...today was box jumps after each run and row but I’ve also added battling ropes and burpies. (SPORT)➡️ au final l'enfant ne voulant pas faire de sieste , j'ai rejoint mon homme a la caserne histoire de faire un peu de tapis et bon...beinh hormis le fait que je doive courir avec une ceinture pour éviter le blop blop du gras du bide qui est reviendu 😂😂 j'ai tenu 8km! Je ne me rappelle pas la dernière fois que j'avais couru sur tapis voir couru tout court 😂.. Bref ça défoule ça fait du bien et comme j'étais bien puante j'en ai fait profiter du monde car j'ai du assister à une réunion à l'école donc la joie 😆... maintenant retour maison , douche et les joies de la vie de famille

Stephanie was there when I really needed support or when I was stuck in a bump on the road and wasn't seeing any results and she worked with me on my diet and modifying it so that it worked for me.

les filles ne font pas du sport pour plaire aux autres. elles ne vont pas à la salle pour attirer l’attention des garçons. elles y vont pour pousser fort, pousser la fonte, et pas comme des tapettes. Les personnes qui diront « c’est trop » « tu devrais travailler seulement le bas du corps » « pourquoi tu fais ça c’est un truc de mec, de la gonflette » ne connaissent rien au monde de la musculation. Au bout de quelques temps, oui, elles se sentent quand même fière de leurs progrès. Que ce soit les charges, la technique d’exécution, tout ce qu’elles donnent dans chacun de leurs entraînements. Alors oui il y a le côté esthétique, mais c’est bien plus que ça, c’est le dépassement de soi, le dépassement mental. Je travaille pas que les jambes non, je travaille chacun des groupes musculaires, et ça me plaît.
