From 2011 when I first moved to Nashville to last week. DOWN WITH THICKNESS💪🏼. That's how we create shape😉. My journey has been one of those that has let like it has had a lot of ups and downs but- you come to realize that those hurdles are there to make you STRONGER. I've just always tried to be consistent as possible even when I haven't wanted to. Trust me I could have made a lot of excuses and I think sometimes people get so caught up in making excuses that they really don't even realize they're making excuses anymore... then days, weeks, and months go by and they wonder why they haven't made the progress they've wanted to. To get to where we want to be is one of the hardest things we will ever do but- it all comes down to consistency. Trust me when I say I KNOW what rock bottom looks like👍🏼. Through the mist of at it all I JUST. KEPT. GOING.🚂 so whatever you're facing, just don't give up on you. Check yourself daily❤️

👀Let's talk about what really goes down in the bedroom.👀 SLEEP! The glorious time where our minds shut off (kind of) and our body rests and recharges. Some people pride themselves on their "I'll sleep when I'm dead" mentality, but not getting enough sleep actually has more negative effects on us than we realize. We don't touch on EVERY negative side effect, but the few that effect what we care about; the glamour and the gains! •When you get an ample amount of sleep you obviously have more energy and experience less daytime fatigue, thus making your workouts better and you're able to put more energy into them. •Your focus is better. You get more done when you feel well rested. •If you're trying to lose weight, or build muscle, you need to make sure you are sleeping enough because if you don't you may lose muscle mass and not lose fat. And, if you don't get enough sleep, studies show you tend to be more hungry. Sleep and metabolism are controlled by the same sectors of the brain. •During REM sleep your body is able to restore organs, bones and tissue, and replenish immune cells. So the benefits of a good night's sleep on muscle recovery are obvious. •Your SKIN will look better! Our skin does the more repairing and restoring overnight, so when you're asleep all of your lovely products are working overtime to repair those skin cells and make you look GREAT! •Same with your HAIR. Our favorite thing to do, especially with certain hair treatments or masks, is to sleep with them in our hair, and wash out in the morning. The results are always way better, so totally worth it.
So before you try to be a martyr and win an award for never hitting snooze and being up all day and night, thing about the short term AND long term effects. Take care of yourself first!

I feel like I’ve been seriously slacking on my social media game lately.
Sometimes it’s really tough to create content that I think will be relatable or inspiring in someway. It’s even more difficult to do so when I’m lacking inspiration myself. 🤷🏻♀️
But today, I did a workout that made me feel STRONG. I ate a breakfast that is going to fuel my body, and I put on an outfit that makes me feel good. 😌
A little effort goes a long way, and I’m here to tell you that taking even the tiniest step toward your goals is deserving of a pat on the back. ✨✨

#Thismyface I’ve been through enough in my adult life to give me wrinkles by the age of 29. I have the oiliest skin, which always makes my nose and forehead (fivehead) look even bigger than they already are. My eyeballs are the color of poop, and I always have ginormous bags under them. My mouth/smile is crooked no matter how hard i try to make it even. My freckles/moles (ew I HATE that word) are the first thing i notice (negatively) when i look in the mirror. And I have chipmunk cheeks that make it hard to wear sunglasses.
#Thisismyface and I’m okay with it. I have so much more living to do, and so many more laugh lines to develop. My oily face keeps my skin from drying out. People are constantly complimenting my eyes and my smile. My freckles are beauty marks. And my chubby cheeks add character. 😉
