It’s always hard to start, difficult to go through failure, and even harder to pick myself back up after a fall. It’s never not painful. Every. Single. Heavy. Breath. Thinking of what I could’ve done. Fearing on what could’ve been. Dealing with injuries and unfortunate circumstances. Yes. I let myself go through this process. I let myself be human. But now it’s time. Time to get out. Time to shake the ground. Time to work even harder than before. Because I believe. I believe in myself. Knowing that I can stand back up stronger. Able to embrace the lessons wiser, and endure the recovery to simply wake myself up. Alive.

From epic training sessions in #firebreathersdojo and sharing my passion for wellness in @empirefitclub, to Bali adventures and love in Hong Kong with @quacktieu, to my @spartan races and my injuries that created some major set backs.
The honor of being selected as a Global Ambassador by Under Armour and the chance to represent Indonesia with a trip to their head quarters in Baltimore (run on sentence I don’t care lol) was something out of a dream! I still pinch myself to reality sometimes.
So grateful for every opportunity that I have been given to spread positive vibrations and I’m looking forward to move more to empower my Indonesian brothers and sisters out there this year.
These are the highlights of 2017 according to IG - the rest of it is beautifully complex. Thank you universe for the good, the bad, the friendships, the battles, for my family and most of all, for the very fact that I’m alive, living, breathing, glowing in my own skin. Blessed.

The rest I had last week during travelling was a good decision as I feel way more energized now. I used to equate #RestDay with being weak or lazy, but now I know that REST is really IMPORTANT. Feat @astridtriee

At the #FireBreathersDojo , we don’t play. Last Monday was my practically my first day back and we had to do a complete set of those routines + a numerous core movements. I was DONE — but felt AMAZING at the same time. Coach @tono_ichigeki
There are NUMBERS of ways to workout : running, jogging, weightlifting, riding, crossfit, aerobics, zumba, group classes, and so on. And there’s not one of these workouts that perfectly suits everyone. “Every man/woman for his/her own taste” - to be able to train consistently, find a workout (or two) that suit you and do them! As long as you are moving, sweating and not stopping - it’s all g 👊🏽 p.s. missing the #firebreathers and you pak @tono_ichigeki
Why say hump when you can be high!
To those of you who don’t know about my running background, let me quickly let you in on it. Before 2016, i’ve never ran pass 3K. In junior high, I ran 4X400 relays in Aus, but even that was over a decade ago. It wasn’t until August 2016 that I ran my first 8K with @indobarian_indonesia in celebration of Indonesia’s Independence Day. That morning was filled with nerves that opened doors to all sorts of doubts. I giggle every single time I think about it now and learned that what I had to do was on the other side of all that fear. I literally started running in November 2016 when I visited HK, exactly a year from today. I’ve only realised this now as I am writing, how funny right! In January 2017, I dived in to my first 10K race during the HK Marathon and that was officially the first 10K run of my life. The second 10K I ran was a month later during the first MudWarrior race held in Sentul. Then I eventually immersed myself in EliteSpartanRaces, took on local 5K & 10K races, and continued to seep in the hunger for personal experience. Nothing beats the feeling of flight on ground with your legs. To watch the beauty of a runner’s movement glide pass your eyes pounding gravity with every stride they take, like a liberation war chant at play. The mental grit and insufferable test of endurance to the landscape, the people, the journey. Running? A novice with much to learn but I’m sold!
Before 2017 draws its’ curtain, I have a couple more challenges to tackle. The first two will be my first time racing such categories. BRING IT ON 🤞🏽

Good morning #FITFAM 🌞 I have finally felt ready to get back into intense training (after a long holiday + its post-holiday whatchamacallit 💁🏽) and as the #firebreathersdojo is on break, I’m trying something new @bengkelcrossfit_south today! Excited and scared at the same time 🙈 - but I also encourage y’all to not be afraid/reluctant to try something new!

Today's workout finisher: an absolutely brutal sprint (attempt) with a heavy (REALLY heavy with a beastly 100kg @palexevans + 40kgs) pull-sled. Pushed my limits today and happy I did! Wouldn't have been able to do it without the encouragement of fellow #Firebreathers though. Y'all are awesome. Thanks for helping me push through! #FirebreathersDojo 🔥🔥🔥🐲
