Penny has corona virus. feline enteric coronavirus (FECV) We fear it has turned to (FIP)Feline infectious peritonitis which is basically always fatal. She is anemic and has jaundice. There are further tests to confirm she has FIP but they are invasive and pointless. There is no cure. She either has it or she doesn't. The course of treatment does not change either way. For now we are fighting for her life in the hopes that by some miracle and her will to live she will pull through. She is barely eating, even though I have tried so many things. She is still drinking water. She is on antibiotics for 4 more days. I have to force feed her a high calorie nutritional supplement. And she is getting feline doses of pure cbd oil. The vet said if and when she completely stops eating we must put her down. I hope that day does not come. My heart is broken and this has sent me into a dark depression. Powerless to save my kitten who I have come to love so much. I am doing everything I can regardless. I will not stop fighting for her until the last breath. 💙🙏🏻😿#felinecoronavirus#felineinfectiousperitonitis#fip#fecv#kitten#catsofig#siameseofig#siamesecat#siamesekitten#cat#disease#wontstopfighting#kittensofinstagram#cbdoil#felinecbdoil#penny#stillfighting
#fencing#scherma#esgrima#fecv#espada#sable#epee#sabre
Three days ago, Drogo stopped eating, drinking, playing and doing all the things that young cats do. Yesterday I took Drogo to the vet and received devastating news. Feline Infectious Peritonitis #FIP is a common mutation of the widespread feline enteric coronavirus #FECV . If the host's immune system cannot erect a proper defense, the virus takes a deadly course; it has a nearly 100% mortality rate. There is no cure. A combination of clinical signs, blood testing, and high risk factors have led the vet to make a diagnosis of FIP. Worse news is that our other cats are likely carriers of this virus. The last 24 hours have been hell coping with all of this. Drogo is only 8 months old; our time with this ridiculously lovable feline is too short. There is no timeline as to when this disease runs its course; it is a matter of assessing the cat's health and quality of life and determine when to make the call. The next few days or weeks will be rough. #igkitty#instacat#kittens#kittenlove#kitten#kittensofinstagram#catstagram#furbaby#igkittens#furkid#adoptdontshop#adoptafurbaby#grief#felineinfectiousperitonitis#tearsfordrogo
