I have no idea what happened but I woke up in such a fantastic mood today. I’ve been going through some tough emotional shit lately and for some reason today was the day I said FUCK THIS. I don’t know if it was the power of positive thinking or what but I am so thankful for it.
It was sunny and over 60 degrees today in pennsylvania so I took full advantage of my half day at work and went for a run OUTSIDE in FEBRUARY to hit my 10,000 steps. It was exactly what I needed.
Hopefully this wave of happiness sticks around awhile.

Intermittent Fasting Good or bad by @luisruribe
Plenty of people have their successes and failures with intermittent fasting, but the only way to evaluate the effects of any diet is to determine is it sustainable to YOUR lifestyle.
The research is there, good and bad, studies refuting one another every day, but it comes down to if its a lifestyle you want to live, and if it is and you can sustain it will be the determining factor of a success or failure.
In my opinion, its not an optimal lifestyle for muscle building, but if you wanted to use it to reach a short term fat loss goal, it definitely could help. I simply don't think the "feeding window" is long enough to fit enough meals in spaced out to keep stimulating your metabolism and getting nutrients to your muscles.

SO I’ve been pretty mia for a bit and I’m finally back on track. I’ve had a hard time getting back to it since the holidays but I think it’s finally sticking. let’s hope this post doesn’t jinx it 😂😂 so here’s a look what what I’ve eaten today.
a quick cheddar and turkey wrap, a lettuce wrapped double from @fiveguys for lunch and a breakfast taco for my hungry ass just now.

don’t get me wrong, I love my cream cheese pancakes but I was craving something sweet and FLUFFIER.
so I threw 4 eggs, 1 tsp of baking soda, 1/4 cup of coconut flour and some pumpkin pie spice and extra cinnamon for taste into a bowl and mixed until it got thicker.
I added 1 packet of sweetener after tasting the batter.
then I buttered a pan and scooped the mixture onto it once it heated up. I cooked it for a few minutes on both sides (medium heat) then topped with sugar free syrup and I’m going to town 😍😍😍
it’s a little higher in carbs than I’d normally eat but they’re so good that I’m letting it slide. happy Saturday y’all!
I’m not afraid to admit that I’ve been spoiling myself with gym stuff hahaha. new sneakers and leggings and sports bras make me WANT to go more. I can’t explain it but I’ll take all the motivation I can get.
Since the start of the new year I’ve gotten these beautifullllll new nike running sneakers, 2 sports bras, 3 new pairs of leggings, 2 tops and a 2 hoodies all to go along with my shiny new gym membership and I regret nothing.
I don’t know if it’s the start of the new year or what but I have a whole new mindset that I’m so thankful for right now. I was stuck in a pretty bad binge cycle and I think I’m finally breaking out of it.
I joined a new gym (which I LOVE), have some new recipes I wanna try AND I’ve been getting my gallon of water in every day.
All together, I just feel BETTER and I hope 2018 has brought these new feelings of motivation and determination to all of you lovelies!

my first 24 hour fast in over a year. it wasn’t as awful as I thought but it definitely wasn’t fun.

I really am tossing around the idea of doing a 24 hour fast tomorrow. I haven’t done one in over a year so I’m nervous I’ll be miserable lol.
but I have been so off the wagon lately and I need something to kick my ass back into gear.
I’m going to start around 9-10pm and hope for the best.

I kept my drinks clean and all of my snacks until I got very very drunk and needed to soak up the alcohol in my tummy.
am I mad at myself? yes.
but at the same time, I had a really great night with really great people and I don’t regret a thing.

grilled chicken nachos: keto edition.
I love love LOVE Mexican food and it’s probably the thing I miss the most on this diet plan.
so I had to improvise! I sliced up two @olemexicanfoods low carb tortillas, brushed them with olive oil, salt and peppered them and stuck them in the oven to bake a few minutes while I prepared the regular nachos for my non-keto best friend.
then I topped them with Mexican cheese, grilled chicken and black olives 😍😍😍😍
only a 16 hour fast today because your girl was HUNGRY.
I couldn’t wait to dig into my breakfast omelette.

Nothing whatsoever against training fasted. When I've had to train early then I would usually do it fasted.
Was this for superior fat loss results? Hell no, it was because it was early and I didn't want get up an extra hour before. (No commitment I know)
If you also prefer to train fasted then that's YOUR choice. However the reason you got lean, shredded, jacked whatever the new phrase is now. 😩
Is because you were consistent with your approach to dieting.
Nothing magical about not eating. You were simply able to adhere to your plan, for the desired time to see results.
Shoenfeld et al concluded "our findings indicate that body composition changes associated with aerobic exercise in conjunction with a hypocaloric diet are similar regardless whether or not an individual is fasted prior to training"
