Where do #eggs come from? A horrific, roach-infested place of torture, abuse, & filth. Animal Recovery Mission's @arminvestigations latest undercover operation exposes the torture and abuse behind eggs at one of the nations largest suppliers, Cal-Maine Foods Inc. They supply @Walmart , @publix , Eggland's Best Eggs, Land O'Lakes, Farmhouse, 4-Grains, and many more nationwide stores. Stop the abuse, GO VEGAN.

Two years ago today, I made one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. And that was to join @TheHumaneLeague as Director of New Media, overseeing our social media. So proud to work for animals every day and to help this powerful organization crush the forces that cause cruelty to animals. 💚
With 2017 coming to an end, I realized I never made a post about the most life changing experience I had this year... I had the opportunity to be a tour operator for @havewebeenlied2 I spent two months driving across the country, living out of a van, to educate students at different universities about the truth behind animal agriculture. This was easily the most amazing, stressful, fulfilling experience of my life. I made a life long friendship with @dianathevegan who before this was a complete stranger to me! Together we planted seeds in over 1400 people who watched iAnimal footage from @animalequality and a video from @farmusa This experience really took me out of my comfort zone... I have struggled with social anxiety for the longest time, sometimes barely able to string together a sentence when talking to new people. At the beginning of the tour I had the hardest time approaching people and asking them to watch the footage. (Thankfully Diana was so amazing at this) By the end of tour it didn't bother me at all. I spoke to groups of people confidently, at one time even speaking to an entire class of 20 students. I became a much more confident person through the whole thing. Even more importantly- I was convinced without a doubt that a vegan world will happen in my lifetime. I can honestly say 95% of people reacted so positively, saying things like they already have friends and family who are vegan, they had been considering going vegan, etc. I saw people moved to anger and tears. I talked to people who worked in a turkey farm, ranchers, and hunters who were all moved by what they saw. I know that the world is waking up and that there is a revolution taking place. People have been lied to and indoctrinated their whole lives to not even give a thought to the food on their plates. They've been falsely fed information about health and nutrition. They've been conditioned to see animals as objects.... No more. In 2018 I will work even harder to shed light on the horrors of all industries which exploit animals. The future is vegan, and as I told a very eccentric farmer I spoke to on tour... You can get with it, or you can get run over by it😏
For the past two vigils we have been completely unable to bear witness... The slaughterhouse has rerouted the trucks to a way with not a single traffic light, stop sign, or even a yield... When the trucks get to the slaughterhouse they open the back gate (not the one marked livestock) and usher the truck right in. They barely have to slow down. Last week I managed to snap this picture as the security guard tried to trick us... He had the truck slow down by the first gate and then yelled "Go, go, go!" As the driver took off and went to the back gate. The truck before that, the security guard tried to block me from moving forward on a public sidewalk. He held his arms out and told me not to get by "his truck" when I ran around him he started screaming for the truck driver to "run 'em over! Run 'em over!" I asked the two slaughterhouse workers who were ushering in the trucks "What do you have to hide!?" They raised their hands over their heads and walked away from me. If there were nothing wrong with what is happening, if this was something to be proud of, why would they be working so hard to hide it? The truth is this is NOT okay and we will NOT give up. We will be there putting the pressure on them... Though it breaks my heart not to be able to show these animals love before their deaths- I am ecstatic that we are not allowing their days to be "business as usual." Ask yourself, do you want to have any part of this? Do you want to be associated with this? Would you show your children around the inside of a slaughterhouse? If not, please make a change. Please help there be no more trucks and a day where this and every slaughterhouse shuts its gates for good.
Quick! Can you remember what you had for dinner three days ago? What about lunch last Tuesday? Could you remember immediately or did you have to think about it..? Food is freaking amazing..I eat delicious food all the time, probably too much if I'm being honest. In the moment I'm thinking holy shit this is the best thing I've ever tasted I could die of happiness right now... Fast forward about 30 minutes later and guess what? I've forgotten about what I've eaten and gone on with my day, until I eat again. The point is: taste is a fleeting sensation. I'm sure you read my posts and think, "but meat tastes good..." And you're right. Meat does taste good. So does cheese. So does ice cream. But is the taste of something worth more than a living being's life? Do you value your own tastebuds more than justice and compassion? Is animal cruelty and death worth a meal? I'm sure if you honestly thought about it you would say that you don't want to consume something that an animal had to suffer and die for. The best part is you can not only eat and live so that your actions are in line with your ethics, but you can eat drool worthy food ALL THE TIME. Pizza, burritos, brownies, buffalo wings, donuts, stir fry, ice cream, sushi...You name it, you can eat it. Please consider the suffering of animals the next time you sit down for a meal. A meal you will soon forget.
