Day 20 - Tools and materials. At the moment I’m working between traditional Textile printing and digital design. But I always love using beautiful tactile materials. This is some of my current fabric stash, some lambswool and some cashmere merino blend fabrics from @johnstonsofelgin - I’ll see if they make it into my first collection because they are seriously gorgeous! #luxuryinterior#scottishtextiles#scottishluxury#tactile#textilelover#fabricstash
Opened some new fabric to admire them in the light. Loving this surprise low volume addition. I’m not familiar with the Halloween line but I like it! I keep telling myself I’ll finish a Halloween quilt for myself before Halloween... I think I’m three years strong in promising myself one. So many quilts...too little time. #lowvolume#fabricstash#halloweenfabric#halloweenquilt#quiltobsessed
Sometimes it's all in the details. So many details in this jacket! Most people won't notice them, but they make me smile. For example, I love the grey twill tape that covers the neck seam and the very top of the zipper. Don't forget to check out my blog post and video, link in profile: @thepetitesewist
Day 20. Tools & Materials #marchmeetthemaker
I love to be surrounded by my tools and to have everything at hand when needed. What I like most is my selection of fabrics, which still makes me excited and I do seem to have a slight addiction to buying fabric. My fabric stash is definitely growing and Mr Tyes space is shrinking.#fabricstash#ilovefabric#takingover#toolsandmaterials
I don’t think I’ll ever tire of sharing pictures of my butterfly quilt 💜 if you want to read more about this quilt, I’m click the link on my profile!(Alternatively titled: my mom must really love to have gone outside in the cold with me to take pictures 🤣) #igquiltfest#quiltsinthewild#lepidopteraquilt

#makermarch2018 : Plaid. I don’t think I realized how much plaid I had in my stash until just now. This isn’t all of it, it’s just what I could reach. I guess it makes sense, what with my Catholic school upbringing and sliver of Scottish heritage...
Remy and I are hard at work this week, organizing all my stuff in the stripey new sewing room. I went through my entire fabric stash last night and it simultaneously made me want to buy tons of new fabric but also never buy fabric again. 🧐🤷🏼♀️ Anyone else ever feel like this?
Where is spring? These lovely pastel colours make me feel like eating chocolate eggs (not that I really need Easter as an excuse). I think I’ll make one of those cute drawstring bags with bunny ears out of these fabrics. What are you making this Easter? 🐣
#Repost @sewactivefabrics with @get_repost Don’t say you did get the ‘memo’ especially for their compression fabric!!!

Day78 The very first Amercan quilters' cottons I bought in the early nineties, were designed by Jinny Beyer. In 2003 I bought her book "Color Confidence for Quilters" and ever since coveted her palette range. Prior to my trip to Paducah last year, I ordered it online and it was shipped to my friend's home. I bought an additional small suitcase to fly them home. Now I dare not untie those ribbons. Have not yet decided what I will do with them. They get stared at and lovingly patted very frequently. Then I pinch myself and say I really was in Kentucky and saw the quilts in Paducah.
Happy Monday everyone and a big THANK YOU to each and every one of you amazing people, whether last week was your first time to our humble family business or you've been coming to us for 25 years!😍 We appreciate all of you, your support, and the insane amount of word of mouth you spread about us!
Why the outburst of gratitude? As you may know, CreativFestival happened at Tradex this weekend and the sheer amount of people that came to visit us all week before the show and then all weekend long, it was so heart warming and touching❤! You like us, you really really like us🙌. You kept us so busy, we couldn't even share all the NEW stuff that came last week so be prepared for that this week!😅 #thankyou#thankyoudoesntcutit
