I had two hours of time to wedge in some railfanning in my hometown while we road trip West. I caught a few trains in late afternoon but this may have been the day’s highlight. A beautiful Conrail caboose that some intrepid mind chalked the EL logo on. Fantastic.
This is what it's look like if hobbyist and armature photographers in Brisbane are stopped taking pictures of public places!!! Day : Friday, 16 Mar 2018, time 4.30 pm.
Place: UQ St. Lucia ferry Terminal overlooking the Eleanore Schonell Bridge
As I was preparing to capture a beautiful #elanorschonellbridge , only #busway#bridge in @brisbane a lady must be in her mid 60s approached me and asked if I have permit from @brisbanecitycouncil to take photos of that place? I said I don't need and don't think you have any authority to ask me for permit! She continued "if you don't have any permit pack up your gear and leave immediately as this is the property of @brisbanecityconcil I was stunned the way she instructed me to leave though I maintained my cool. Then she said "in Australia, WE." I stopped her there and then before she finished her sentence as I knew where she was going with her remarks! I interjected straight away..what do you mean by "In Australia, We?" Do you think I am less Australian than you? Don't you think you just crossed the line putting yourself ahead of others who is not as "white" as you? How rude and disgusting you are!! Just leave I asked! She still continued but I simply ignored her. As she was wearing #brisbaneferry white shirt I assume that she works for ferry. What a shame!! WE SAY NO TO #racism
