Started my travels to Tipperary almost 5 years ago to study a BSc Degree in Strength & Conditioning with Setanta College. Thought I would never last.......
Today, I have completed it 🎉 BSc added to the list 😊
Now onto the next chapter..... 🙇🏽

Think this warrants a pizza 😋
When training for specific goals, i.e. fat loss, weight loss, max strength, strength endurance etc, it is important to note that not all training stimulates the same response.
Fat loss/Weight loss is still highest on the 'goals' list with the majority of fitness enthusiasts. There are many factors that influence fat loss, but one factor that is often overlooked and misunderstood, is the effectiveness of weight training.
When applied correctly, weight training is arguably the most effective training method when it comes to fat/weight loss. However, it is often not prioritised and/or applied correctly.
At Elite Fitness Centre, we apply various training methods that involve weight training at all our EFC camps.
If your goal is to improve Body Composition (Body Shape), you should consider our Camps starting Monday 12th March or our ongoing Personal/Group training at EFC.

As you become more fit, you will notice on your heart rate monitor that it actually gets more challenging to get your heart rate up into the YELLOW and RED zones (the high-intensity zones).
Where you might have popped into the YELLOW and RED zones fairly quickly when you were just starting your workout routine, you will notice that it takes more of a workload (speed, incline, resistance, load) to get your heart rate up as you become more fit. .
For example, your heart rate might have gone up into the YELLOW or RED zone when you were running at a 9 minute mile pace for one or two miles when you first started training, but now after several months of training, if you run a 9 minute mile pace, your heart rate generally stays in the GREEN zone. .
This phenomenon occurs because our cardiorespiratory system becomes more efficient as we get fitter – we are able to pump more blood with each heartbeat and we are able to take in and transport more oxygen to our working muscles.
👊🏼💥When things don’t happen right away just remember it takes 6 Months to build a Rolls-Royce an 13 hours to build a Toyota!! 💥👊🏼 .
It takes hard work an it takes time!!! If your expecting changes over night then your in for a big shock!! ⚡️🙄 The key is to have an end target but yet set your self “mini targets” along the way!! 💯🔥👊🏼
