Do I travel for food? Definitely partially. I find it so fun and exciting to explore local flavors. I can’t wait for breakfast in the morning or to visit a “hole in the wall” to try something that will explode with flavors the expensive restaurants can’t compete with. Like a kid I have no patience when it has anything to do with tasting new combinations of ingredients and colors. And even better if menu is not in English! It means I’m in for a real treat of discovery
First evening in Amsterdam and a magical one it has been. From All You Can Eat Sushi at Sumos, to walking through central and witnessing the Holland v England football guys and girls on the way into town. Chanting and shouting and singing loudly (annoyingly the British fans seemed to be the most obnoxious!) then we went for a cocktail up in the Sky Lounge in Double Tree Hilton. The views over Amsterdam are lovely and not to be missed, the cocktails are a dream and the atmosphere is great. Well worth a visit! We then headed home to get a jam packed day in tomorrow. Keep following my adventures ❤️😘
I was always a lone wolf.
Could never stay in a pack so I rode off on my own being tough.
And sometimes this life is rough.
But it brought me to my inner peace.
In a dreamy state somewhere like Greece.
Where Gods and Goddesses roam so independently.
And yet owning this throne does take responsibility.
I never saw myself like them.
Because I'm a stone of a different gem.
Blood runs thick.
And my eyes see so slick.
Mind is as tough as a brick.
Heart is as soft as a wick.
I can soar deeply in my silence.
In that void I find no violence.
Only brilliance spoken through telepathic oneness.
