We filled up a black tractor with kids and beach toys and drive an hour through bush cladded roads to a beach called PIHA (pronounced Pee-Ha).
It’s dam hot and the sand scolds the kids feet in their race to the water; I end up being a camel; ferrying kids across the desert!
The waters warm and a surf competition is going on in the background.
Luv summer and beaches!
This is one of the filthiest gyms I’ve ever been to (a spider touched my face!) but listen to Cranberries’ Dreams in any environment and life turns into a whimsical scene from a Wong Kar Wai flick. Try it — slay a random man while playing this song and it’ll feel like another piece of the puzzle just came together (but you won’t know until Act 3).
This weekend we’re hosting our first Instawalk in NYC! Come and hang with other content creators in our Brooklyn coliving space 👌 It starts at 3pm on Sunday - find all the details on our Facebook page, or drop us a DM 👉 @outsiteco //📷@connor
This girl is already super attached to her bus ❤️ When she noticed it was missing from the driveway yesterday, there was a pretty big eruption of emotion. 😢💔 Every bus we’ve seen on the road between yesterday and this evening, same deal. Lots of feels from this little babe and I can’t say we don’t feel the same! We’ve been talking about the bus for a long, long time. We finally took the big leap and bought the bus and now we sent it off to the shop! 😫 We’re all feeling a little bummed that it’s not here to plan and play in, but we’ll just have to wait patiently for it to come home (hopefully faster and stronger)! 🤙🏽
This is us in Leipzig one year ago.
From left to right: Nienke, Indy (1 yr.), Flynn (4 yrs.), Tjaba (4 yrs), Djimmie (6 yrs.), Haron, Yano (4 yrs.) and Snowman (1 hr.☃️). A happy, a bit chaotic, family.
We moved from Amsterdam (yes, we’re all Dutchies🇱🇺) to Leipzig two years ago but felt it was time for a change and to literally broaden our horizons and therefore we made plans for a roadtrip. We didn't set an end goal but as a first destination our own little (little like really tiny) cottage in the South of Spain.
Main goal: to learn, to love, to laugh, to live.
We subletted our appartment, packed our van (including our tipi-🏕️) and at the end of June we hit off and slowly (😉😉😉😉😉) travelled via Germany, the Netherlands, Brittany (France) to the South of Spain, where we arrived at the beginning of September.
And there we still are. Far longer as planned and for rather unexpected reasons.
One of the main reasons is that we found out that our land most probably already has been used in prehistoric times and that we might be living on a Neolithic site. Yes, that is as intriguing as it sounds-😉. Follow us exploring and growing up!

Today at work, I was awarded the Teacher of the Month award for February! I’m one happy & surprised teacher today 🙌🏼 This marks my first month of teaching and I’m really enjoying it! Getting in the grove of life as a teacher and doing five things all at once! The students have already made so much progress in their English and classroom etiquette...I can’t wait to see where they will be next month.
It’s been another stressful week at #BlueOceanLife , but we’re making progress. Building a brand requires dedication and willingness to adapt. But you gotta do it to make it to the #halloffame . Happy weekend!

Too often my girlfriends come and ask me where do I find the courage to travel solo. It's easy: I'd rather do it on my own than not doing it -EVER. Plus I've made fantastic friends and lived the most outstanding adventures with total "strangers" I met on the road. Just remember to be cautious -i.e. a bit more cautious than you would be at home ;).
2 years and 2 months have passed since I started this great adventure of making my travel blog, it all started as a game, as a hobby, let's say. in January 2016 I won a scholarship to go to Thailand, to go learn about meditation, I was at that time very sad and decayed since about 3 months ago my grandmother, the person with whom I lived and the person who filled me with dreams, died suddenly in a matter of 1 month,
2 months after that tragedy in my life, they gave me the news that I was going to Thailand with everything paid, I could not believe it, I saw a light among all the sadness and I said LET'S GO. From that moment another world opened, I could live what was a culture completely different from mine and my mind was opened in an inexplicable way, for the first time I saw and met backpackers, these young people who are traveling on a budget and with a backpack the size of them, I was shocked and I said to myself, Why not try to travel this way? it looked like an incredible experience and these people always had a story to tell, they filled my heart with inspiration and I said, this is what I want to do, previously I already knew that I did not want an office job and that I would be done from college in 6 m, I knew I had to make several decisions about what to do with my future, when I returned to my country, I was determined to start writing and to know places in Honduras (where I was born) and my travel blog @viveviajandocatracha was created, I began to travel within Honduras, meet people, go to places I never imagined I would go, see the stars from my tent and this totally marked me to be the person I am now, I feel very grateful for all the opportunities that have found me and will continue to come, thank you very much to all those who have believed in me since the beginning, that has also made a difference because in my country this is not something a young girl would do, for many people is wasting time, but for me it is the hope of having a different future and a future in which I can do what I truly love and be able to help others to be inspired so that they can fulfill their dreams. It doesn't matter how crazy they are, there is always a way.
