This horse blows my mind. Between our second and third rides (an hour apart!), he's quickly picked up on moving forward and better steering. We still get "stuck" and try to stop but he's beginning to move off my leg. He gave me a nice working walk and maintained a relatively relaxed expression the entire time. 10/10 good boy 💕
when she lived in the wild on public land (from 2009-2011) she found her own food. but then she and about 1200 other mustangs were removed from the land that (and every year before and since) to supposedly make it more sustainable for remaining wild horses, cattle, sheep, wildlife. the federal government started feeding her in captivity along with about 35,000 like her. altho a federal act requires protection of wild horses on public land, when a wild horse is removed it faces government policy decisions that may not favor it’s protection. last year the current administration proposed a 2018 spending bill with cuts to the care of captive mustangs. a whole lot of people agreed with these cuts and some even suggested that captured mustangs, whether or not young and healthy, should be sold by our government into the mexican/canadian slaughter pipeline and become human food. but resisters said “no” and this week they prevailed in congress. i will always vote smart and humane care for these animals ... period. #resistancehorses#blmmustang#horse#pony#neenathemustang#saveahorserideamustang#ridethebrand#demandthebrand#equine#animal#life
F R I D A Y 🌱⚡️ Only a few more spots left in my Project Go For Goals challenge group. I’m super excited with how fast it’s been filled. Some of the ladies want to lose weight, some want to drink more water, some just want to consistently post somewhere for 21 days. The point of this group isn’t just about health &/or fitness, it’s about breaking ANY goal you want! Again, there’s only a few spots left. We’d love to have you 💙
Last weekend I rode in an AWESOME clinic with @daryl.kinney and Matteo and I learned soooo much! He did slam to a stop at one jump (see photo) but we circled around and he went over it with no questions. Looking at the photos isn’t easy for me because I can so clearly see everything that needs work. That said, having awesome friends who were willing to accept my late entry and other friends who hauled him there for me made an otherwise awful week a little more bearable. More on the dreadful week later.
One day I just woke up wanting more. I didn’t want to get up for a 9-5 job with a fixed income 5 days a week. I didn’t want there to be a max income I can make per week, per month or per year. I wanted more. Becoming a Beachbody coach was the best thing I ever did. Not only do I have financial freedom but I have time freedom too. I work for myself, by myself, whenever and WHEREVER I want to 🙌🏻. Last summer we made last minute camping plans, and I think that was the first time it clicked. I didn’t have to ask my boss for time off, I didn’t have to worry about taking a day off I potentially wouldn’t be paid for. Instead, we left & I sent messages out WHILE IN THE WOODS 🌲! This job is so rewarding, but for me, being able to do WHATEVER I want WHENEVER I want to do it, is the best of all.
