On reflection I think the 10kgs need to come out next week! Finally a coach’s eye view of the “day two babe” @calg_pt 😆 next time you complain about a weight cut affecting your performance remember that this guy lost 7kg puking his guts up in the days before the competition. He never panicked and kept his composure right through the weekend and finished with an equal PB of 500lbs on the platform. Отдельное спасибо @timursabirovr за предоставленную возможность и гостеприимство… Давно не тренировался в цивильных залах, приходится всегда выбирать между комфортом и возможностью работать с большими весами. Опущу все неприятные моменты разговоров с «рукой водителями» предыдущего зала – просто скажу, что зависть к чужим успехам и желание зарабатывать делает из бывших спортсменов простодушных и никчёмных барыг, поступающихся собственными принципами и традициями, сложившимися в нашем спорте. Самое обидное в этом то, что свои неудачи в маркетинге и потери в бизнесе они списывают на кого угодно, не замечая свою собственную никчёмность и бездарность… Я не имею права их судить, но и мириться с подобным отношением к себе и своему хобби не намерен, если я не в состоянии изменить ситуацию – я меняю окружение, в этот раз так и пришлось поступить.
Вдобавок ко всему лифтерский гриф переехал в другой зал, а в моей ситуации с другим не потренируешься, так что выбора у меня нет – плохо быть сильным)))

I should start off by saying this isn’t a ‘transformation’ post. Me today on the right (75.1kg) and me on the left 2 years ago (about 67kg). I clearly have very different goals today than I had back then and I’m not necessarily happy or unhappy with myself in either of these pictures but I’ve always liked the aesthetic side of weight lifting so I’m going to see what I can do in a few months of not eating for a family of 5 and be my own hump day motivation. New rep PR.. I’ll take it since last time I repped a good set of 6 was 405 from what I can remember. So this felt decently good! I was suppose to do 455 3x5 but on my 2nd set I only hit 4 because I almost sharted(swear to god). so on my last set finished it off with 6 as you can tell by the excitement in my possessed looking eyes hahah that @mbslingshot compression cuff does wonders too knee pain has settled pretty well!

HOW TO INCREASE TESTOSTERONE LEVELS NATURALLY

Testosterone is at the core of who you are as a man.

Lift heavy and explosively! Your workouts should be centered around heavier lifts and bigger muscle groups. Things like squats, deadlifts, Olympic lifts, and plyometrics will all give you a surge of testosterone.

Sleep at least 8 hours per night. It’s one of the most anabolic things you can do for your body. One study by Penev et al. found that men who slept for ~4 hours had an average of 200-300 ng/dL testosterone levels in serum. Guys who slept for ~8 hours had levels closer to 500-700 ng/dL.

Have sex! Studies show massive increases in testosterone in men when they’re having sex, or on nights where they know sex is going to occur. So have lots of it. Get off porn and have some damn sex with your lady! Anakin did this with Padme and look how that worked out!

The fear to go down without giving it my all, every ounce of strength, every muscle fiber pushed to its limits. My never yielding determination to not give up without putting up a great fight, to never back down despite all odds, that’s what drives me and pushes me in the gym and in life. Working out by myself really tests me, because I’ve got one shot, one opportunity, to seize that last rep or to fail and let it crush me. Hit 4x3 with 245lbs on bench and 4x10 with 140 lb dumbbell rows.....currently @ 143lbs bodyweight 💪🏽💪🏽

Real inspiration ahead... I was talking to @gretchen1302 the other day about the awesomeness that is @thrivept competitor, Ravi. Ravi has only been powerlifting a short time, AND STARTED AFTER A DOUBLE KNEE REPLACEMENT. Surgery and injuries aren’t a reason to stop moving. They’re motivation to keep at it. The worst thing that can happen as you age, is being stationary. You lose muscle, which puts you at greater risk of falls. You lose bone density, which puts you at greater risk of fracture. If you are injured or have some movement issues; the right personal trainer or an exercise physiologist, can help keep you moving, get you back to your old activities and help prevent the risks that come with ageing. Your kids might think that ‘just rest’ is helping you heal. Generally, it’s doing the opposite.
