Inquisitor Astor Sabbathiel, from the Warhammer 40k comic series ‘Fallen’ primed and ready to paint. The Terminator armour she wears to fight alongside the Grey Knights & Dark Angels to defeat Necron and Eldar forces is coloured white with red trim in the comics, so this is the scheme I’ll be painting her in. And......it goes without saying, as it was with my previous posts on this Games Workshop endorsed character, and I shouldn’t have to say this (but obviously I do) any GW bashing or negative comments will be deleted immediately and you’ll get blocked. Simples! #inquisitorsabbathiel
Step by step on the eye. I started with a base of Mephiston Red and a layer of Evil Suns Scarlet. Then I washed with Carroburg Crimson over the whole eye and then nun oil around the eye lid. Then I layered Troll Slayer Orange and then a mix of Troll Slayer and Fire Dragon Bright. And then a mix of Fire Dragon and Yriel Yellow. Then the just a little dab of Yriel for the iris. Another wash of Carroburg and a black line for the pupil. Finished with a coat of 'Ardcoat. What do you think?
I didn’t expect any customers within the first 24hrs of the page being live. Thankfully I have a few models for my own Red Scorpion army to paint hope I have enough to tide me over if I get no business 😅
Inquisitor Sabbatheil update - I’ve decided to green stuff the Grey Knights typographic elements on the Terminator armour (other than the arms), to keep more in line with the comic artwork. (ps I shouldn’t have to say this, but any GW bashing or negative comments will be deleted and you’ll get blocked. Simples!) #inquisitorsabbathiel
Making a start on Inquisitor Astor Sabbathiel, from the Warhammer 40k comic series ‘Fallen’. Inquisitor Sabbathiel - Relentless in the pursuit of her goal - to root out heresy and Chaos wherever it may be found - to the extent that she often engages in questionable methods. In Volume 2 ‘Revelations’, Inquisitor Sabbathiel dons Terminator armour and fights alongside the Grey Knights & Dark Angels to defeat Necrons and Eldar forces. (ps I shouldn’t have to say this, but any GW bashing or negative comments will be deleted and you’ll get blocked. Simples!) #inquisitorsabbathiel
Inquisition freehand banner made for @siegestudios! Painted on paper, prepared with acrylics and pva glue. Citadel colors and nylon brushes. Purity seals where hand made from old school tricks, greenstuff and paper bits soaked in a bit of paint and pva. It's how we used to do it back in the days and I like this much more than adding plastic ones. Looks much better!
And we have a winner!!! Massive congratulations to @trynapaint who is the winner of my 5,000 follower bumper giveaway! Thank you so much to everyone who entered the competition by telling me what you were most proud of hobby-wise from the last 12 months. There were some incredibly heart-warming stories and if I had more than one of these bundles then I’d give more away. But....there can be only one! And that one is @trynapaint. The reason that he was chosen is because his story resounded so much with my own. He came back to the hobby on a bit of a nostalgia trip, completely by chance, grabbed some minis, did the best that he could with the prior knowledge that he had, then came on Instagram, saw the mind blowing creations that people were doing, threw his toys out of the pram (exactly like I did 😂) then thought ‘No, do you know what? Fuck it! I’m going to learn. I’m going to be like a sponge and suck up every single bit of knowledge I can find to become a better painter!’ And he has done. He didn’t give up, he didn’t sack the hobby off, he kept going, kept working hard and kept pushing himself. It was like I was reading about myself 6 months ago!! 😳 So, a bloody worthy winner mate!! Please DM me your address and I’ll get the hamper of hobby goodness off to you ASAP! 👏👏👏
#TBT To Co. Molav, Leader of the Sewer Scummers Killteam, stationed and lost deep within the Hives of Armageddon.
I always loved the Tallarn model range, but never had a reason to buy them before, but with Shadow War Armageddon - I couldn't wait any longer! (I also bought up a bunch of OOP Storm Trooper kasrkin models.) Even though I really wouldn't mind painting them traditionally, I wanted to make my own team that was specifically for Shadow War. They performed well in their first campaign, but ultimately we're beaten back by opposing Killteams. Now Molav will be helping an Inquisitor come back to the Hive depths to root out filthy Xenos and renegades.
Not too much left to do on the Battle Pony now! And on a side note, I think this is the best parchment writing I’ve done! Used a mix of Abbadon Black and Rhinox Hide to make it ‘almost black’ #aos#ageofsigmar
