My Bellydance Routine.
As a competitor in thie fitness model competition, we had to do a routine. It could be any type of routine we wanted, as long as it was in the 90 second mark. So I chose bellydancing. I realised I could move like that in 2007 when my sister asked me to go to a bellydance class with her and two of her friends. In the end they all left and I stayed because I loved it so much to my surprise. I ended up performing many bellydance performances after that and I loved it. In the end, the teacher I had ended up moving to Australia, so it was so hard to find a bellydance class where I lived. I did a couple of workshops in the city centre but yet again, I couldn't connect with people. I felt I wasn't even intersted in what they were saying and like it was all fake interactions. I hate that I can't connect with people as easily as other people. I mean, Im in a community where we all have this hobbie in common. We all love this style of dancing. But they wern't my type of people either. I could have made friends, decent friends because they were all sooo nice and friendly but I just wasn't interested in talking or listening to them. So I would just smile and nod along to what they were saying but it didn't mean anything for me. There was definitely a block somewhere.
Back to the competition night though, I absolutely LOVED every minute of it! I wish the limit was more than 90 seconds because I was enjoying it so much and it was over too soon.
I wanted something upbeat that would be more entertaining to the audience...Not that it would have mattered because we didn't get marked on the talent performance but I just loved it so much.
