A little bit obsessed with Pink Gin at the moment. And not that pre-made (however pretty) stuff, but the real historical Pink Gin - which was a favourite of Queen Victoria.
This drink was is thought to be originally created members of the Royal Navy. In 1824, Dr. Johann Gottlieb Benjamin Siegert added Angostura Bitters to dry Gin to give to sailors to treat sea sickness. It then became a fashionable drink for the well-to-do in England and was made using a sweet Gin,
We’ve made or own take on the Pink Gin, by adding editable floral ice (it’s just so pretty) and using Australian Bitters (support your own right) and Apothecary Gin and topped up with @fevertree Mediterranean Tonic. Delicious and refreshing!
At the Skybar in Berlin, not only were the views breathtaking, but the cocktails were fun, creative and absolutely delicious! Some real classics and some unique innovations – all served with a little twist of Berlin…

For those who have been asking about these minis - they are made to order for weddings, bridal showers, special events and for the lucky guests at @_halcyonhouse . They are super time consuming to make, as we fill each one by hand, so we don’t have them available for general sale. Although @quince.fromagerie have a few squirrelled away! DM us for more information 🌸

ROKU gin, the Japanese craft gin🍸
🌿A complex floral Japanese gin.
ROKU means 'six' in Japanese, the six local and seasonal botanicals,
Sakura flower, Sakura leaf, Yuzu peel, Sencha tea (green tea), Gyokuro tea (refined green tea) and Sansho pepper for the spicy thouch.
Eight traditional botanicals, juniper berries, coriander, cardamon, cinnamon, angelica root, angelica seed, bitter orange peel, lemon peel🌿
Roku Gin has a delicate aroma with a glimpse of cherry blossom. The green tea takes it over with his leafy hints. On the finisch of the Roku gin we have the bitter note.
🍸For the perfect serve you can use a ginger tonic water and ginger garnisch to accentuates the citrus notes.
Today I choose the Fever - Tree Elderflower tonic water for the floral thouch. - 5cl Roku Gin
- 12cl Fever - Tree Elderflower tonic water
Roku Gin is made by Suntory and was the big dream of the young Shinjiro Torii. In 1899, at the age of 20 he wanted to create original Japanese spirits, uniquely made from Japan's nature and her people. In 1936 the first Suntory gin was born.
Roku gin is based on perfectionisme,
100 years of expertise is the result of an history of over a century of dreams.
Shinjiro Torii's dream came true , "Spirits produced in Japan will be loved all over the world."
Enjoy your Roku Gin moment! .
