Hope everyone had an enjoyable St. Patty's Day yesterday! I won a fitness competition!
I've been off for a while working on some competitive self improvement. Last night I celebrated 10 weeks of working hard to lose a few lbs and tighten up a couple bad habits. To celebrate we started early with friends, a much needed slice of pizza and a cocktail. I'm down almost 30 lbs and $1k richer! My beautiful wife Jill, who won the same competition 4 yrs ago, also won a few hundo for kicking ass and looking amazing!
This is a cocktail Jill and I had last month on a rare night out over these past several weeks. We had this at @eatstsocial and I tried to reconstruct the recipe off of the menu notes.
Thyme Traveler by Lerichard Foral @vonkillenhausen
@copperandkings Unaged Apple Brandy
Tart cherry muscovado syrup
Malic acid solution
Stir, strain, up. Garnish w a thyme sprig.
PASSION FRUIT AND PINEAPPLE SANGRIA 🍍🍹
This ones sweet, refreshing and delicious! Tag a friend 👌🏾
750ml White Wine
2 oz. (60ml) Passionfruit Liqueur
2 oz. (60ml) Pineapple Rum
16 oz. (480ml) Passion Fruit Juice
16 oz. (480ml) Pineapple Juice
8 oz. (240ml) White Grape Juice
1. Add fruits to base of pitcher and pour over passion fruit liqueur and pineapple rum.
2. Add fruit juices and wine. Stir well.
3. Pour to serve. Enjoy responsibly! 🍻

Sweet Beet Martini 🌱 I’ve been obsessed with creating a #craftcocktail that includes fresh beet juice but doesn’t taste like a juice bar. I think my “Sweet Beet” is going to cause a beet wave 😋 Pour 2oz Gin, 1/2oz Fresh Beet Juice and 1 tsp Basil Simple Syrup (homemade) over ice, stir and strain into a chilled martini glass. Serve with a Basil Garnish or Lemon Peel🍸 Create a “stir” with this “fresh beet!”
Came for one drink but stayed for three. 🤷♀️ Loved the concept of Japanese bar @wa_shu, where all spirits are distilled or infused in-house. The cocktails are built around one ingredient - either a fruit, spice, herb etc. I was enamoured by their oolong tea and jasmine tea martinis and also couldn't resist trying the fresh mandarin-infused Old Fashioned. It was a delicious welcome to Taipei! 🇹🇼
