Go Lean Nutrition Workshop
Wednesday 4th July 2018
6-8pm at Lakeside, Waterloo, Liverpool.
Includes 8 weeks of support and recipes via e-mail.
Places only secured with full payment.
This Nutrition Workshop is a revelation regarding our food industry and will explain why we are 'battling' with our bodies to maintain balance.
Ready for change? Want to educate yourself about food and your body....the physiology and the psychology of hunger and the impact this has on your energy levels and mood?
If you want to really succeed, then arm yourself with real knowledge based on evidence based studies and not on the latest diet trends.
Potions, shakes, pills and fad diets do not work long term. In fact, long term effects of fad diets are very unfavourable and often result in weight gain with more than 80% ending up heavier and fatter after repeated dieting.
Two of my nutrition clients are registered GP's and both have commented that they experience patients who 'google' for advice....but they still go for a 'real' diagnosis or advice from their GP, because they want a professional opinion.
I would put your dietary advice on the same level. After all, what you eat and drink has a direct impact on your health and wellbeing. Why would you risk getting that advice from google, a trend, a non qualified person or an exercise instructor who has no history of studying nutrition past the 6 week PT course they did a few years ago?
This plan is delivered via e-mails which are sent every week for 8 weeks.
The plan includes
What to eat before, during and after exercise.
How to age well.
Mood food. How food impacts our mental health and how we can use that to our advantage.
The 4 major components of a healthy life.
The 4 major reasons we struggle to balance our weight and fat to muscle ratio.
Recipes for fat loss and for life.
How to sustain your healthy eating plan.

#MuscleMorsel : Master the Windmill Side Plank
When it comes to mastering movement, muscle function, and body mechanics. I use a variety of exercise and movement patterns. In addition, I incorporate a variety of core stabilization drills, to help stabilize the spine and improve total body motor control. One exercise I consistently employ with my athletes and clients is the windmill side plank.
The windmill side plank represents is a highly effective full body stabilization and core activation drill that targets a variety of muscles. It also happens to a be an incredibly effective drill for improving low back pain, hip inflammation, shoulder stability, and general weakness as it targets stabilizers and smaller muscle groups that are often neglected during more traditional movements.
Once you’ve mastered the basic variation, you can progress the movement in a number of ways: elevating the feet, abducting the top leg, and holding a weighted object or kettlebell in the elevated arm. However, even more advanced variations can specifically address various weaknesses and instability issues. For instance, many individuals struggle with the side windmill planks due to shoulder instability, faulty postural alignment, and poor upper body positioning. To address this requires proper cueing as well as the implementation of windmill side plank variations that force the lifter to employ near textbook upper body mechanics.
In this video, my client @lpetchlee1 and I are demonstrating several advanced windmill planks that involve a more unstable upper body base. Follow the link in my bio to read more about each variation and there benefits or go to https://www.advancedhumanperformance.com/blog/windmill-side-planks-athletic-performance
