Happy Trainer Tip Tuesday!! The sun is shining on this beautiful day! It's time to start prepping our beach bods!! Today Rachel is demonstrating a Dead bug and has added a 10lb medicine ball to challenge her core a little more! Follow these simple steps👇

1. Lay on your back and push your hips towards the ground, there shouldn't be any space between your lower back and the floor
2. Lift your legs to form a 90° angle 
3. Your left hand and right knee will hold the medicine ball steady as your right arm and left leg fully extend out. Switch sides and repeat!! You can do this without weight to get started! Make sure your lower back stays in contact with the floor the while time. To be quite honest, it’s not that great of an exercise for your triceps since you gotta focus and control your core more.

I wouldn’t recommend this exercise to beginners or those with weak cores. 
Additionally, don’t be like me and use the biggest Swiss ball lol....

The core is a term thrown around alot these days, and some may not actually know the anatomy behind it. The CORE goes from the neck to the pelvic floor and has a few main components:
-Diaphragm
-Pelvic Floor
-Internal and external obliques
-Lumbar erector spinae
-Transverse abdominus
-Rectus abdominus
All of these components must work synergistically in order to function optimally and efficiently as your CORE.
If one part is not doing it's job, compensation patterns will emerge! One of the most important pieces of this puzzle is the diaphragm, which oftentimes is not being used in all of its roles in the body.

Сгибание голени на мяче хорошее упражнение из репертуара фитнеса. Мы с @ekaterinavir не сосунки и долбим заднюю поверхность бедра на мяче в супер сете с жимом ногами.

На мой взгляд, в этом упражнение главное держат таз «высоко», можно даже еще чуть выше, чем на видео. Как будто выполняешь ягодичный мостик в воздухе.

В общем, возьми себе на вооружение, когда времени мало, а нужно еще и над прессом поработать. Хороших тренировок!

The beauty of FRC is that “there are no FRC ‘exercises’, just concepts”.

Here I’ve set up another runner to get a moderate stretch sensation through his R quadriceps.  Due to limitations primarily above the knee, this was the position that he tolerated the most.  PAILs cue was to “try to straighten your knees”.

He presented today with 130° AROM on the R vs 145° on the L, and finished with 145° on both sides.

Fascial MWMs (Mobilizations With Movement), cupping, and PAILs made it happen.
