THE PROPHET FREAKING 6. The not so secret weapon. Here’s how I used it this week for a project... I needed some inspiration, a sort of eerie but inspirational sound I could use to create some tension and build for the climax of my cue. I started cycling through presets until I heard one that seemed to work, but not perfectly. I then started tweaking knobs and disengaged all filter modulation and FX. That’s where the magic started to happen. I started tweaking the oscillators a bit then with help from the filter, started to find the perfect sound. I then hit record and watched the film as I opened and closed the filter when appropriate always gradually opening up the filter until that final hit where I cranked it all the way open. I did one take of this, and was DONE. @dsisequential
Chance Thomas signed my copy of his book today after an amazing afternoon of me being able to job shadow him at his studio. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity! Conductor’s score back from MSO. It will be interesting to see the markings conductor Tianyi Lu made for the performance. There were minor changes made in rehearsal, so I think it’s important to see this copy as well as my notes. #orchestralmusic#composerlife
