New exhibitions!!! #Repost @hauserwirth ・・・
‘Louise Bourgeois. The Red Sky’ is an intimate presentation of never before exhibited works on paper from the final years of the artist’s life, created between 2007 and 2009, with words and images mining Bourgeois’s central themes of memory, trauma, nature, and the body.
‘Mark Bradford. New Works’ is the artist’s first gallery exhibition in his hometown of Los Angeles in over 15 years. The ten new works on view find Mark Bradford furthering his investigations into the technical and sociopolitical potentials of abstract painting, deploying the profound insight and inventiveness that have established him as one of the most significant and influential artists of his generation.
‘Geta Brătescu. The Leaps of Aesop’ is the first Los Angeles solo presentation devoted to the 92-year-old forerunner in the field of Romanian Conceptualism. Her diverse oeuvre mines themes of identity, gender, and dematerialization, often drawing from the stories of literary figures and addressing the symbiotic relationship between art making and working environments.
