Projecting continues but I’ve learned that cruxes can be crushed and a timer is handy for taking a long rest. My two favorite holds: pinch me hard and crimp with your thumb. Also, @austin_tu has the patience of a saint.
Feeling good after a more than positive night on the walls.... I've had a few set backs lately that have pushed my fears further and massively knocked my confidence. As a result I've missed the past couple of sessions I was supposed to have, and if I'm honest made excuses to not face the wall. Tonight I went, I climbed and I conquered. 😊 I wanted to feel happy and confident on the walls again, so I took it easy and just did things that made me happy. Aside from just keeping it simple and taking it back to focused movement & technique. I revisted the big walls and spent some time bouncing around, pushing myself off the walls, back and forth, trusting the rope, being at height. I can't tell you how happy it made me, I couldn't stop smiling as I swung around. I felt so free, the moments in the air were amazing. I definitely feel that with each session if I spend just a little time doing this I can feel more confident on the rope. I even celebrated by hitting my favourite overhang and cutting loose a few times afterwards. So tonight I am smiling at my small but significant victories, knowing that I did something that will help improve my overall mentality on the walls and help me push through this 😊❤ #climbingday#climber#climb#climbs#climbing#indoorclimbing#climbingproject#climbingwoman#climbingwomen#climbinglife#climbinglove#thisgirlcanclimb#thisgirlcan#faceyourfears#dowhatyoulove#makeithappen#stronger#strongwomen#strongwoman#verticalaffection
There should be a story behind each photo, right? Well, I dont remember the one for this picture, however, I will never forget the early morning couple months ago. That day Adam did not mind hiking over an hour up to The Shield at 5am just to belay me on my project from this photo. That morning we were sitting on “the bench with the view” drinking breakfast beer at 6am, waiting for the dawn and talking about random stuff (probably girls, climbing and unknown future). Later on that morning I fell off the very last move of my dream route and we slowly hiked down to the valley to be at work at 9am. There is stories behind pictures and there is friends behind stories. Photo by @tosgrzegorz Adam cruising Younger than Yesterday couple of months earlier.

Well It’s been a mixed week really. I’ve had a few poorly days, my chemotherapy treatment has been increased, I’m now on a mix of 3 medications which is exhausting, in addition I’m on anti-sickness and my epilepsy medication, which at times can feel like a pungent mix. However I’m sure, like with my previous medication cycles, it’ll settle on my next round. The side effects are much the same, sore mouth, hands and feet, nausea and fatigue. I also have incredibly achy eyes.
But it’s only 3 days until my now 6 day break and I can not wait! On a happier note this week has had some really good bits, I’ve been to the colchester climbing project twice, I spent the day with my friend Vikki and my best friend Lola the pug 😝 and tonight I’m going to dinner with my gorgeous boyfriend and lovely friends. I also had the lovely @amyshairbeauty come and give me beautiful eyelash extensions and an eyebrow tint which added worlds to my confidence. So on that note, here is a picture of my now nicknamed cow patch hair! 🐄 .#colchesterclimbingproject#climbingproject#cancer#cancerreasearch#canceruk#cancersucks#fuckcancer#chemotherapy#chemo#nohairdontcare#bouldering#boulderingbabes#spartan#spartanchick#toughmudder#raceforlife#colchester
