New shoes for the @citizenwatchcanada Perpetual Titanium #at401050e !
A birthday present from my son in 2016, I love this watch but the bracelet - while amazing in finish - lacks micro adjustability - so keeping a link made it too big and removing one too tight. Solution - leather strap of course. 😁
Yesterday I submerged my cal. 8200 Citizen for a stupid water proof test (don't try that, guys). It failed. The movement got wet hahaha. Truly a stupid test because it is actually a dress watch. Water resistant mark means nothing. So bad, because it is my birth watch. I hope I can wear it in any ocassion to mark my journey.
Today I did another STUPID test for another my collection watch. THIS is an older watch. It is cal. 6501 manufactured 10 years earlier than the cal. 8200.
Not in it's original condition, the crown just like the strap...it is not genuine, the wheel balance inside is bent quite bad (but still ticking well), it lost 2 - 3 minutes accuracy in 24 hours, there is a crack on the crystal and NO GASKET SEAL.
Well... I submerged him for about 3 - 5 minutes and voilaaaa! it looks okay. There is fog under the crystal as usual. But see? He is still allright haha.
Do you know what model of Citizen watch it is?
It is a #PARAWATER by #citizenwatch an underrated but actually superb watch. Unfortunately it is not manufactured anymore. You can only find it at vintage watch markets. So bad isn't it?
This is a stupid test and don't try it with your fancy luxury watches.
