I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys R Us kid.. One last time.
I remember the joy I felt as a child walking through Toys R Us with my parents, begging for the newest Barbie or whatever was in back then. I remember the smell of the aisles & the rubber bike tires.. I remember calling it Geoffrey the giraffe instead of @toysrus - I remember walking down the same aisles pregnant for the 1st time, making my baby registry..excited for the days ahead when I could share the same joy with my children. Unfortunately that will all be gone soon. They will never know a world where they get to go to TRU because they got good grades, or won their game.. or just because. Its sad, I'm sad. Today, I did something I never do, I took my twins (& Sky) out of winter isolation to go experience something I loved as a child. The store was empty, so they had the run of it. The joy on their faces is something I will never forget..they even cried when we had to leave. I encourage you all to do as we did today.. take your kids, walk down every aisle..bottle up the experience and keep it forever.
Let them be a Toys R Us kid.. one last time.
