Tarragon Chicken Salad on homemade “Adventure Bread” 🍗🍞🌱
I have been making chocolate all day (of course🍫), so I thought it was time for something savory.
I had some leftover chicken from a whole roast one I made a couple days ago, so I decided to make my favorite tarragon chicken salad. It’s sooo good!! It’s full of tarragon, cranberries and yogurt which goes perfect atop this seedy loaf I made this morning.
Have you guys made adventure bread before?!?
I can tell you, ITS DENSE!! Like one loaf weighs 20 kilos (ok maybe I am exaggerating a little 😉) but it’s pretty tasty toasted. I made the recipe from @joseybakerbread 🍞🍞
For National Potato Chip Day we made Hot Potato Chip Chicken Salad Sandwiches on brioche buns with @kettlebrand chips 🥔🍔 Recipe Below .
2 cups cooked rostisserie chicken, rouchly chopped
1 cup diced celery
1/4 cup finely diced red onion
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup grated sharp Cheddar
2/3 cup crushed potato chips
Add all of the ingredients to a large mixing bowl, except the chips. Stir them to evenly combine.
Spray a 9x9" baking dish with non stick cooking spray. Pour chicken salad into the greased dish and spread the mixture out evenly.
Sprinkle the potato chips out evenly over the mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, or until bubbly.
Spoon the warm mixture onto rolls, and serve.
What do you do when you burn the coating on your cast iron fried chicken? Why, you thinly slice off the crusty coating, and make bomb-ass fresh chicken salad sandwiches, of course. On toast, with blackberries. #lunch#chickensaladsandwich#cookyourownfood#yum
The BEST Chicken Salad
The name is not mine😂 I found this recipe at bellyfull.net🍴 And it is pretty tasty. I didn’t add pecans—mostly because I forgot to grab them at the store—I would also recommend using chicken you make yourself, as the recipe calls for canned chicken, and canned chicken gives me the heebie jeebies.
As much as I would love to sit down and snap pretty pictures of food... for the time being, all my pictures will be pulled from the sites in which I find recipes, and if they have Instagrams I will definitely tag them to give them credit. Unfortunately Belly Full does not have an insta account😕
