“You’re a work of art, not everyone will understand you, but the ones that do will never forget you”
Who you are is a gift, don’t waste it by trying to be somebody that you’re not
Because YOU are fabulous
I’ve held onto this note for almost 2 years. It was something a friend gave me who ended up being extremely toxic. Its time to let go.
Take toxic people out of your life. No matter how many good memories you’ve shared, get them out.
I forgive you for what you did to me, and I wish you a good life. #selfworth#change#discovery#movingon
Doing lots of different exercises in the pool today! These are my favourites! Keep the core tight and try not to be knocked over by the wind and water. 😉
Also trying to hold your balance on on leg is very tough.
Best part? No weights needed and no one around me. 👍
And yes I got some weird looks from the other tourists. I'm that weirdo working out instead of lounging and drinking. 😂 I got too much energy!!
“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” A LOT has changed in the last 5 and 1/2 years. The girl on the left was SO uncomfortable in her own skin. She wore baggy clothes to cover up her “flaws” and ate her emotions with a tub of ice cream and box of donuts. She was stressed out all. Of. The . Time. And the smile she wore was fake and forced.
I tried to change several times. But I kept going about it the wrong way...I would focus on all of those “flaws” and how I needed to change them. Then one day, I realized that if I stopped focusing on who I WAS and started focusing on who I wanted to be, I would get a lot further!
Today, my life is FAR from perfect but I am in a MUCH BETTER place, physically, mentally, and emotionally. It takes daily effort and sometimes struggle to focus on the future and how to make positive changes in my life and the lives of those around me. But the effort is so worth it!
My health is improved, my energy is better, my skin is clearer, and my confidence is so much higher than it used to be! The monthly fitness groups that I run are about so much more than changing the number on the scale. We focus on every little change and every little victory. We focus on improving our mental health as well as our physical health. And we focus on supporting each other through the journey.
My March group will be kicking off on March 5th and pre-enrollment is now open!
You will get * access to effective 30 minute workouts you can do at home or the gym
* a meal plan that is easy to follow and family friendly
* a delicious chocolate shake to drink daily
* support and motivation to keep you on track
So if you’re ready to focus on the future and make some changes, shoot me a message or drop your fave emoji below so we can chat!! #throwbackthursday#fitness#fitmom#healthymindbodybaby#healthylifestyle#change
This moved me!
What this space for Janet - she's going through a great transformation.
Regrann from @b2sadultliteracy - One of the emotional moments of @nifemibrown class with our students was when Janet was moved to shed tears, expressing her struggles because she could not read and write.
For us, it was tears of joy to her that all is about to change.

The person who wishes you, "Good morning. Have a nice day ahead!".
The bus driver who curses you under his breath for slamming the door so hard but waits for you at the stop a little longer, though it's getting late.
The girl who offers you her stapler, eraser, pencil, paper, why sometimes her answers as well, for a test you didn't prepare for.
The lab assistant who smiles as he discovers your circuit connections are wrong. Helps nevertheless, leaves only after you've got the output properly.
The mess worker who hums a happy tune as he goes about serving food and adds a little more to your plate because "growing children should eat well".
The professor who scolds you in front of the class for doing something wrong and then calls you separately to talk to you after class.
And at the end of the day, you have all these things to think about.
I've probably just talked about six nice people who, despite whatever they're going through, managed to put a smile on your face.
My question is, how many of them have you thanked?
