Activism in the snow 🌱💚❄️
Can you imagine the impact that we could have if every vegan was an activist? The amount of seeds that we could plant? 🌱
Speak up and get active 🐷🐮🐰🐺🦊🐴
Are you having a hard time doing vegan outreach??
In the beginning of my vegan advocacy, I did not know how to effectively communicate what I wanted to say. Like most of us, all I wanted to do was shake the person and force them to go vegan. I became angry and frustrated the second someone gave me an objection. My mind filled with negativity and I constantly judged. I yelled and got into many arguments with friends, family, and strangers. This was not healthy and it was not producing positive results. Something had to change…
If this sounds like you, don’t worry, the solution is simple…Speak from the heart and speak with conviction. Ask questions and actively listen. Uncover information and try to understand. Breathe. And most importantly, take care of yourself.
If you speak from the heart, love comes out. I you speak with conviction, passion comes out. If you ask questions, people start talking. If you listen, it is easier to understand someone and the more they tell you. When you uncover information, you’re able to plan your next move. When you breathe, you’re able to stay calm and focused. And when you take care of yourself, positivity and happiness flow outward in abundance.
Do these things and watch how powerful your outreach conversations become. People will gravitate towards you, almost inviting you to speak with them about veganism. Your energy and your presence will be felt. You will become more confident and strong. And you will feel more fulfilled then you ever thought was possible. This isn’t something that happens over night, but, with more practice, things become so much easier. Keep working on it!
Head on over to YouTube and type in This Little Vegan to go see my first two recorded outreach conversations! If you ever have any questions, or would like to work on strengthening your outreach, check out www.joshuaentis.com and sign up for a free coaching call or webinar! Hope you all have a beautiful rest of the week!
Went to @grainonmain and tried the #ImpossibleBurger today. It was freaking delicious. Literally anything you can eat, can be made #Vegan . Please try it. You won’t be sorry, and you’ll save lives. It’s a win win. #TryVegan
I’ve been trying to figure out how to become a voice for the voiceless. I don’t want to be rude, I don’t want to be callous, and I don’t want to be overbearing or offputting. But I do want to be a voice. Before I knew the things I know, I lived my life unknowingly (or unconsciously) hurting other beings, calling myself an animal lover while contributing to their suffering. Now that I know, I feel that it is my responsibility to share the information I’ve learned, but it’s tough because for some reason, people don’t want to know. To me it’s simple, if there is a way to enjoy life without hurting other beings, why would someone want to continue living their life hurting other beings? Please consider trying Veganism. It’s not extreme. It’s compassionate. Killing and eating innocent animals to please your palate is extreme. I used to think the opposite until I tried it. I only regret not doing it sooner. #TryVegan
This inspirational 65 year old CHAMPION stands for 5 hours straight in the cube to bring awareness to the plight of animals.
Being part of anonymous for the voiceless has allowed me meet so many incredible, courageous and strong people who inspire me to pick myself up & carry on, even when I'm exhausted and scared for the future of our planet. I'll be forever grateful to everyone I've met. For the animals 💚 For our future generations ✌ For our planet 🌱 #untileverycageisempty
Here’s yesterday’s lunch from @nordvegan - managed to get there a couple times on my trip so I’m pretty pleased with myself! 😊 This was an enchilada and an arancini ball, and I just couldn’t resist the mocha slice for after. 💚
Trying to go completely plant based / vegan is no joke . I definitely threw my hands up and stuffed my face with macaroni and cheese bites on Thursday and fought with "Queen Vegan" in a Facebook group on Wednesday🙄 Some innocent girl asked a question and immediately this person jumped down her throat . Like chill b, some of us are new here and don't know these things!!!!! Luckily , I have some sweet vegan friends I can ask questions and found a few really good YouTubers. The moral of the story is : Almost DOES count . I'm trying my best and instead of giving up , I got back on the horse, googled some recipes , went to Natural Health today and kept it moving! What are your fav low carb, high protein, plant based recipes ???
I keep referring people to challenge22.com to help support them in their journey into plant-based living free of all animal cruelty by simply changing their diet to one full of nutrition and delicious new foods that is also good for the environment! I signed up for the challenge myself so that I can experience what they will experience to better help them as well in their Journey! Today is day 1 and I will be posting photos of all of my food and anything related to The Challenge 22+ to help me stay accountable as some of you know my struggles with food and body image, etc.
Here's todays breakfast!
At 7 a.m. I had my water with frozen lemon Blended up the whole lemon minus the peel and I freeze it in ice cube trays so I can pop a cube in my warm water with some apple cider vinegar and a Sprinkle of cayenne pepper then at 10 I made some steel cut oats I put strawberries bananas some granola some Goji berries almond butter chia seeds flax seeds hemp seeds with some cinnamon sprinkled on top and some soy milk ... Next time I go to the store I will get some fortified with calcium! Not super healthy but my toast with vegan butter because I miss my butter and bread I'll be phasing this out once my butter is gone LOL!!! I'm also trying to follow Dr. Michael Greger's Daily Dozen using his app to make sure I get my grains beans seeds spices berries veggies cruciferous veggies all the things that he recommends rather than counting macros I'm going to try and stick to Whole Foods wherever possible but also have fun with it and not be super strict so that I can make it to the finish line so to speak!!! Today I am moving some business stuff so that will be my workout for the day! 💙
