WOOHOO! I'm in the semi-finals for the Bluesfest Busking Comp! All you music lovers out there, come to the Byron Bay Brewery on Wednesday 28th of March! I'll be on at 8:45pm. It'd make my day to see some familiar faces in the crowd! And it would be a dream come true to play on the Delta Stage at Bluesfest, and crowd support counts!
To the beautiful people who've listened to my stuff at @rawespresso and @jfkwoodfire and @currumbincommunitymarkets and @mandalacollective and and @thevillagemarkets and @thekitchensrobina and @byronfreshcafe, it would mean the world to me to have your support here.
Ahhh I'm so excited!

I’m committing to 40 days of Mantra recitation - 108 Aums every evening before bed! Starting tonight. I’m beginning with this simple but powerful beauty - the sound of the sun moving across the sky…..
I would love to share anything of note as I go and if anyone is intrigued you can find resources with Ananda of truefreedomcoaching.com. I will be doing her training - possibly this Oct/Nov if I can manifest that!
Inspired by the impact that mantra is having on my yoga students I am delving deeper into this daily Sadhana. I LOVE singing mantra but my personal practice must deepen before I feel ready to share on the deeper level that my students would like (ie teach the mantras or start a “Kirtan Choir” as I’ve been asked). I’ve not sustained a daily Japa meditation practice yet so this is it!! ^
However I do believe that it’s a felt sense and reverence required rather than simply an intellectual understanding and I have always felt the power of music as a means of devotion.
Growing up in a Catholic environment I was very often (much to my own embarrassment) moved to tears in church whenever certain songs were sung (‘Here I am Lord’ still gets me, particularly the line ‘I have heard you calling in the night’ because I heard it….). It was always the music (and being in nature) that brought my heart alive in such a reverent way. I think I have always been a Bhakti Yogi!! ^
For many years I lost my voice as a singer - worrying what others thought. I was a dedicated pianist up until the age of 17 when I had to choose between 4 hours of piano practice a day and HSC study. I chose the study because of my self doubt and while I have always continued to play piano it was not a daily part of my life anymore. But now I’ve got my harmonium!! Isn’t it amazing how the universe works when you open to the possibilities, ask for guidance...and trust.
These mantras are coming from a much deeper place than my “I-ness”. It doesn’t matter to me what they sound like. I know when I’m hitting the spot because my whole body tingles and the tears are close by! My students feel it too. Keep you posted!

This little fellas favourite spot 💙Whenever I put Arlo into a baby wearing top or carrier Ambria will ask if she can put Arlo into her “pocket” and holds her shirt out 😂 So flippin cute. I absolutely loovvveeee this comfortable carrier I bought from @yoli_and_otis (not sponsored guys just loved) i bought it on sale for $80! I really dislike my big bulky clip on baby carrier! So many straps etc! 😩 This is easy comfortable and simple so I’ve decided to use this instead of my Ergo carrier for now. Sometimes simple is best. 🌿 HAPPY SUNDAY I hope your taking the time to get some sunshine, make a nice meal, watch a family movie or just doing something to help you relax and recharge. 💛
