Check out this hedge of two different bottlebrush I recommended for a large garden, 'All Aglow' and 'Great Balls Of Fire'. The colour of the new growth after pruning rivals any exotic plant! Callistemon make great hedge plants as the old wood contains many dormant buds, so as long as they are healthy, the plants spring into life after pruning. There are terrific old and new cultivars available that have different flower and foliage colour and sizes, so you can get creative in your garden planning. How about teaming 'All Aglow' with bright pink flowers (pictured) with Little John which is shorter growing and has blue-green foliage and dark red flowers, and some White Anzac with white blooms? Callistemon are adaptable to a range of gardens situations too, and birds love the nectar rich flowers!
I have 'All Aglow' in tube pots and a few others available on my shop-
"ARBOL DE FUEGO": In reality this is a bottle brush tree, just starting to bloom, its flowers remind me of fascinating fireworks against the spanish style structure. Inspiration flows everywhere here, in this glorious part of the world!
