In the years that I was privileged to be Grandma’s sidekick, we found ways to laugh every single day. Through the messes, through the tears, through the confusion, through the bills—we purposefully chose joy through all of it.
I thought that caring for her when she didn’t recognize me would be the hardest place to find joy... but it turns out that it may be here, in the midst of a life without her.
But even in our darkest places, when we barely have the strength to muster a smile, we still have a choice about the kind of life we are going to live.
We can know that all our choices are investments—and they can add to our life or take away.
We can keep investing in life, and we can choose to hope.
So here I am raising my glass to hope.
May the road rise to meet you...and may you LIVE all the days of your life.

Workout: Core Equipment: 25 pound plate 1️⃣ Secure the plate on your bent legs (shins) please! 2️⃣ Carry the plate overhead 3️⃣ Compress /Engage your core the entire time 4️⃣ Sit-Up and roll back down vertebrae by vertebrae. 5️⃣ As always, Breath! ✅ Bring the plate overhead fires up the abs while recruiting the upper body : shoulders, back and arms. ✅ More muscles recruited during an exercise equals more calories burned!
