Que aportan a nuestra salud?

Las legumbres (frijoles, garbanzos, lentejas, habas) son una fuente de proteínas y nutrientes muy completa, muy importantes en nuestra dieta por su gran versatilidad en sus modos de preparación y por sus propiedades nutricionales.

Los frijoles o porotos (negros, blancos, rojos) tienen un alto contenido de fibra y vitaminas como B12, B6 y vitamina A y son especialmente ricos en vitamina C. También nos aportan minerales fundamentales para la salud como zinc, potasio y hierro.

Las lentejas aportan carbohidratos complejos, que ayudan a mantener estables los niveles de azúcar en sangre; además tienen altísimos niveles de hierro y de ácido fólico, por lo que son especialmente útiles para ser consumidos en caso de anemia.

Favorecen la salud intestinal y son fuente de vitamina B1, que contribuye al normal funcionamiento del sistema de producción de energía en el cuerpo, fuente de hierro, potasio y fósforo, además de ricos en ácido fólico.

Que más se puede pedir? Jejeje. Y son económicas, así que mamás vayan al super y empiecen a incluir legumbres en su dieta.

Yesterday, I gave the baby cinnamon raisin toast with a bit of Earth Balance butter, sliced strawberries and @gtskombucha Cocoyo coconut yogurt. The baby was miserable and hardly slept. Turns out it was a bug and not teething. She refused to eat much of anything except a few bites of this yogurt, a popsicle, water, and passion Starbucks tea. Oh and of course mommy’s milk! 참기름 쪼로록하고 깨 솔솔뿌려주니 냄새가 넘 꼬숩다. 민준이도 너무너무 잘먹어준 아침😊.

Protein merupakan zat pembangun yang sangat penting untuk berbagai fungsi tubuh, penting untuk tumbuh kembang anak, penyembuhan sakit, dan identik dengan sumber kekuatan bagi otot yang menjadikan anak kuat. Namun pemilihan protein yang kurang tepat bisa mengarah pada dampak buruk kesehatan di masa depan. Salah satu contohnya adalah terlalu banyak protein hewani dapat berdampak pada pembelahan sel abnormal yang mengarah pada keganasan. Saya tidak anti protein hewani dan tidak anti menu 4 bintang, tapi maafkanlah saya dan ijinkanlah saya hanya membahas mengenai sumber protein nabati saja ya ❤️🙏

Ternyata kandungan protein nabati tidak kalah super dengan bahan makanan hewani. Malahan dalam protein nabati terkandung mineral yang lebih banyak dan serat yang lebih banyak. Lemak yang terkandung juga lemak baik, tidak seperti lemak jenuh yang ada dalam protein hewani. 🌱
Memang kandungan asam amino dalam protein nabati tidak selengkap dalam protein hewani. Tapi itulah sebabnya kita perlu variasi makanan. Lagipula tubuh manusia itu hebat, tubuh dapat mengatur protein sesuai kebutuhannya walaupun tidak diperoleh dari sumber makanan yang sama.

•Breakfast mini shredded wheats, with whole milk, chia and linseeds, #abcporridge bites, a whole satsuma!!!! And some pear.
•Lunch was out with friends so sweet potato and banana muffin, blueberry pancakes (both from the freezer) as well as a little something from everyone’s plates! •Dinner was breakfast! Eggs and spinach, low sugar/salt beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and ww toast. 
We think #summeramelia is a little allergic to tomatoes as she keeps getting a really red chin when she eats them (and raspberries) does anyone know if it’s better to stop giving her them? Or will she just grow out of it? Thanks inadvance😃

Truquito: pelar el zapallo + cortarlo en cubitos + cocinar al vapor (hay unas vaporeras que se ponen en la olla con agüita hirviendo y encimita las verduras, son un hit). Y dejarlas no taaaaaaan blanditas porque los bebés deshacemos cual plastilina la comida, ni muy duras porque: 1. Nos atoramos mal. 2. No podemos "masticar". Do you remember the first time you ate a pancake??😮 Harley had his first one today🥞 and he ate 2 whole pancakes!!!😝 The last few weeks Harley suddenly “gets it” with food..he will eat anything I give him. He gets so excited when I pull out his tray and starts grabbing for the food before he’s even in the high chair😂 such a little champ🙌🏻 He now is eating pretty much anything we eat, minus the salt..not good for tiny baby kidneys❌ 🍊 and 🍌 are still his favorite, but he’s tried different beans, legumes, grains, bread, potatoes, and a pretty wide variety of fruits and veggies already👶🏼

Ingredientes:
. 60gr copos avena
.100gr zanahoria rallada
. 2 cucharadas de crema de nueces o aalmendras

. 1 cucharada levadura

Recipe for Curry - ⭐️450g chicken breast ⭐️ 1/3 jar of Balti paste ⭐️ 1 tsp chopped garlic ⭐️ 1 tsp chopped ginger ⭐️ 1 tin of tinned tomatoes ⭐️1 chopped bell pepper ⭐️ 1 sweet potato chopped ⭐️ 1/2 broccoli ⭐️ 1/2 cauliflower ⭐️ 1 tsp tomato purée ⭐️ Put all ingredients into the slow cooker on a low heat for 6-8 hours. Great for babies as everything is tender and easy to eat. ❤️Extra portions can be frozen for another day as an added bonus!

Yes, I do enjoy working out 99% of the time and I LOVE the way I feel when I’m done, but I promise it is hard for me to get going sometimes too. :

Selanjutnya, bila anak sudah mengenal proses makan, pada usia 6 – 8 bulan MPASI dapat diberikan 3 kali makanan utama dan snack seperti biskuit atau buah matang 1 – 2 kali sehari.

Pancakes again! 
I had some pancake mix from yesterday's breakfast left in the fridge. It wasn't much, and normally I'd probably just have tossed it. 
But yesterday I read a great post by @tinytonkin.tales about how she stretches her family's groceries for two weeks at a time. It made me reflect on the little changes I could make to limit our food waste and make what we already have last longer. 
So as a result, baby is stuck with another pancake breakfast this weekend. Poor guy 😂
