There's this quote I've always liked.
It goes like this, “Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.”
There is so much truth behind that, if you, yourself can't feel what you're photographing; then how do you expect others to?
🎿 Ready for more snow? We will be under a storm warning tonight through Thursday at 8 AM.
@cmartian shared this beautiful scene he captured last Wed. at Elk Knob State Park. Thanks for sharing, Christian!
Near the end of my sunset 🌄 shoot, a massive cloud 🌥️ came into view from over the mountain range ⛰️. I didn't have anywhere else I needed to be, so I decided to wait and see if it rained 🌧️. I had no idea what was coming haha. Over an hour later, this image happened 🌩️⚡. It was a hail storm ⛈️, and fortunately, I knew when to quit. I got under shelter just in time 👍.

Sunsets that fade into the cool crisp blue of the Blue Ridge Mountains is something that will always stop me in my tracks. This was as the end of my first #jrpadventuresessions & it solidified what a great way to start embarking on photographing these Adventure Sessions. Jill & Esmel’s hike at @wintergreenresortva is on the blog today!
