@cyrus66kg W7D1 - Squats: 250 @8, 225x2x3. Having to relearn how to squat at probably the most inconvenient time lol. Bending at knees first instead of with hips so need to fix that. Switched to flats for last set and that seemed to help. At least we get to bench tmrw!

Axle bar deadlifts from last weekend. Similar to a rack pull but with a fatter bar and lower then I usually would do them.
This was my final and 6th set at 95kg after we had already done log and yoke. 
Certainly not lean anymore but I love that I can see my muscles growing.

Made the decision to pull out of marchโ€™s hawaii pro show to focus on my military career. Now that i have time during this off prep, thought Iโ€™d make a comeback in weightlifting. The last time i did this i snatched and c&j at 55kg. Today i prโ€™d my snatch at 57kg and finally did c&j 69kg & some Change. The longer Iโ€™m away from home, the more precious {time} is to me. Iโ€™m grateful for every minute I get to spend with my family.. even if itโ€™s only 36 hours once a month. 
This weekend I got to make a surprise last minute trip and I tell ya, seeing the faces of my family light up when I walk through the door makes my heart so happyโค๏ธ I encourage not to take time for granted. INVEST IT. Donโ€™t waste it being angry, complaining, or holding grudges. Life is way too shortโœจ

Dinner is on point to stay on track for my goals.  I will say that I donโ€™t like cauliflower rice by itself.  Itโ€™s great as cauliflower bread or pizza crust but not as rice.  Just sayin.  When youโ€™re in bikini prep though, itโ€™s not always about what you like.

The secretion of cortisol is mainly controlled by three inter-communicating regions of the body: hypothalamus, pituitary gland and adrenal gland. 
The Hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. 
When cortisol levels in the blood are low, a group of cells in a region of the brain called the hypothalamus releases corticotrophin- releasing hormone, which cause the pituitary gland to secrete a hormone, andrenocorticotropic hormone in the blood stream. 
High levels of adrenocorticotropic hormone are detected in the adrenal glands and stimulate the secretion of cortisol, causing blood levels of cortisol to rise. As the cortisol levels rise, they start to block the release of corticotrophin-releasing hormone from the hypothalamus and adrenocorticotropic hormone from the pituitary. The adrenocorticotropic hormone starts to drop them leads to a drop in cortisol levels- this is called a negative feedback loop. 
Too much cortisol: โ—๏ธweight gain โ—๏ธhigh blood pressure โ—๏ธosteoporosis โ—๏ธmood swings โ—๏ธmuscle weakness โ—๏ธincreased thirst and urination 
High levels of cortisol over a prolonged period can cause one to lose sex drive and in women- periods can become irregular, less frequent or stop all together. 
If you have too little, it can be due to a condition called Addisonโ€™s Disease - see your endocrinologist if you believe this is you.
