I’m really starting to get in my zone and am so ready for what’s to come over the next few weeks!! Every single day, over these last few months I’ve been working harder than ever before - and, today, i make no exception. Wake up, drink your coffee, and go grab life by the horns. GOOD MORNING!! Hello Monday!
Yesterday’s gone...today is a new opportunity, a clean slate, a new day, a new week to continue towards your goals & self improvements, whatever they may be:
▪️in life or work ▪️in relationships
▪️ in budgeting
...doesn’t matter, whatever they are, we all have our own goals we’re striving towards & even tho we work towards them in different ways, at the end of the day, we should be giving it all we have within us to reach that end goal, that finish line. Not everyday is perfect, the stars don’t always align, but forget about those days, they’re gone.....but only for now, because they will surface again. Take advantage of the good days because THOSE are the ones you’ll remember, the days you make progress, the days you inch closer to the end goal. Don’t get me wrong, bad days are just as important, IF NOT MORE important because those are the days that challenge you, push you, make you question if it’s even worth it to continue striving for that end goal... but overcoming those hurdles is what grows ya & makes us stronger to be successful on the good days, no matter how rare they may be.

Had a bad day? Yep we’ve all been there & even tho things may always seem happy/perfect/stress free/easy on social media platforms....hell I’m guilty of it....deep down we all have our days that aren’t rainbows & sunshine whether we choose to show it on here or not! We all handle it differently, hell yeah it’s hard & hell yeah we complain, we’re all guilty of it, but it’s all about how you respond & whether you choose to thrive from those bad days to grow & improve personally rather than giving up & letting them defeat you!!

That being said, peace out to yesterday, it’s gone.....
Happy Monday, Happy New Week!!
!!Go Get It, It’s YOURS!!
(yikes I told myself I wasn’t going to rant on this post 🙄 sorry for the rant but it’s a good reminder for everyone)
About a week ago I was eating at an Asian restaurant with my coworkers and at the end of the meal, ya know, you get fortune cookies 😋 Well guess what. My fortune cookie... Didn’t have a fortune in it 🙂🙃 LOL! This could mean one of two things.. 1) I’m going to have bad fortune. Or 2) I’m already fortunate enough to have everything that I need... Perspective* — I’m taking it as the latter ☺️ I won’t let a cookie determine my fate 😂 Hahahah. Have a wonderful Monday everybodyyyyy. Find the positives in every curveball that life tries to through at you 🤗 #monslay#positivevibes#mondaymotivation#bbcomambassador#bodybuildingcom

Why do I do it? Why do I stand on stage as judges compare me to others? I let my negative body image take over more than half of my life. Growing up, I was always taller and as a swimmer, a little bigger, than other girls my age. The first thing people often said to me when I was meeting them or seeing them for the first time in a while was a comment about how big I was. From a very young age, I defined myself by my size, "the big girl" because that's how most others saw me. How was I supposed to know better as a child?I hated who I was and I let it take over my life. I was probably around ten years old when I stopped dressing up for halloween, having birthday parties, and socializing with people outside of school. I was misunderstood as being shy, but really I was so insecure and consumed by the idea that all people were ever going to care about was how big I was. I became a compulsive runner in college because all I cared about was being small; I thought that people would start to notice ME and not my size. After multiple doctors told me to stop running because I was destroying myself, I found a love for lifting because it allowed me to appreciate my body for what it could do and I no longer cared what others thought. I decided to do a show for the first time to push my limits mentally and physically, I wanted to prove to myself that I had overcome these insecurities. I can not describe the feeling of stepping on stage after letting my negative body image hold me back from SO many things I wanted to do growing up. I have only ever received constructive criticism from judges about my physique, but I have also gotten comments about how I stood out for being confident, and those are the ones that mean the most. They noticed something about ME and not how I looked. Each time I decide to do a show is another opportunity for me to overcome what I never thought I could
