Daisy enjoying a meal. Something amazing about these giant snakes feeding. Daisy is a #reticulatedpython and feeds on about 10-12 pounds of food every 10-14 days. We determine how much and when to feed her based on her behavior and the overall look of her previous meals digestion. She’s truly s gentle giant! #python#snake#snakes#reptile#reptiles#bigsnakes
Why do people soak boas and pythons? Do you really think your ball python likes water? Do you really think soaking it will help it shed like it should? They are not aquatic snakes.
If they get in the water themselves; that's different.
Submerging your ball python, retic, red tail, rainbow boa, ect it shouldn't be happening.. If you offer your snake a bowl of water big enough for it to soak itself(like you should be), then there is NO REASON for YOU to make it soak in a tub/sink/whatever.
Soaking doesnt help the snake shed. It helps get dead skin off its body, sure, but the snake isn't shedding/IS in bad shed because its dehydrated. It needs to DRINK water not SIT IN IT, it needs constant humidity, not easily achieved in a tank setup. Pleasepleaseplease do more research if you are one of these people. .
