It was challenging but I was finally able to get a shot detailing the hematite inclusion that appears as the parallel lines in the amethyst :)) I think shit like this is so cool so I'm pretty happy I was able to share it. Thanks for your time, I'd love to hear any thoughts !
Miss Baxty helping me redo some of my specimen reference boxes. This box contains two Emeralds of unconfirmed origin (lower left and upper right). The rest of the crystals are from: Swat Valley, NWFP, Pakistan (upper left); Coscuez Mine, Muzo, Boyaca, Colombia (bottom middle); and Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria (lower right). The crystal in the lower left may actually be from Hiddenite, North Carolina (and so will be moving to it's own box... I pulled this piece out of a NC fee dig bucket many years ago where it was mixed in with Brazilian emeralds), and the matrix piece in the back is likely from Bahia, Brazil.
