Getting a hug from Mamoni after I signed the marriage papers. 💕
When I was little, the first word you taught me to call you with was "Mamoni". As time passed, I started to call you Ammu, and then Ma, but somehow that sweetest word slipped from my dictionary. But, as I grew older I tried to reminisce the little things I left behind and the first thing I could cherish is the word "Mamoni". A word seems so lovable and sweet.
You have always been my best support; starting with going shopping together when I was little to becoming a teenager, going to melas, trying out new food, watching funny videos on youtube and so many more.
You are the one, who heard my nagging and conversations for hours after hours. Then again, you were also the one I fight with the most, since often times we were both stubborn and you always wanted me to do things your way. But little did I see that, throughout these ups and downs you always protected and empowered me to be the woman I needed to be and something that I still have to go a long way. Through your teachings, you have always taught me the qualities an ideal woman should have. You taught me strength, patience, compassion, empathy and kindness. And I can proudly say the best quality I inherited from you is being a people person; I can hold conversation with people of different age and through that I connected to many people, touched their lives by listening to their stories and being a mental support. This is something I value so dearly, it's the quality that distinct me from others.
Every Morning, I hear you read Surah Ar-Rahman and you remind me of our divine creator. When life let's me down; I loose hope and cry out of frustration, you tell me to go down on my knees and pray Salah. You are a true guardian who always guided me to be steadfast on Islam. Sometimes I wonder what will I do without your reminders. You are indeed a true blessing for me. And May Allah swt allow me to serve you as you raised me with kindness when I was little. .
