#stoutsunday A full on 11% Imp Stout with Ethiopian Coffee & Vanilla Bean. Been sitting on this for a year and today was the day. Bitter from the coffee, not sweet and not as thick as you would expect or want. It's very good but not quite outstanding. 8/10
When #homebrewislife you go to a homebrew #bottleshare . You then also get to see Meg from @goldenroadbrew and a certain tv show being filmed for a little channel called @vice. Plus a shout out to Mike Van on his henderson release, that's one tasty ipa!... But @hendersonbrewing please get rid of the shaker pint glass! P.S. Meg and Zacks shoe game is on point!
I love my job! I love to get deep into the complex world of flavors and combine food with beer. Today we had a beer lab and I talked about food and beer together. It’s part of a series of three Saturdays. This time i talked about hoppy beer and what food goes well with that. So I served them 5 hoppy beers from @bryggerietangkvarn @modernistbrewery @sandtbrewery and 5 small dishes to try to showcase what goes well with hops. #beerlab#beernerd#beerandfood#craftbeer#craftbrew#beerlife#beerlove#beeraddict
Time to feature some beautiful tekus (swipe ⬅️➡️). This week we have two awesome dudes I've been following for some time:
1. @spicyhippo (pic 1&3) with the 4th anniversary brew from @otherhalfnyc and Passionate Freak, a Belgian Triple from @sandcitybrewery
2. @keps_persson (pic 2) Silver Peel, a Berliner Weisse from @garageproject .
Make sure you give these guys a follow! Keep using #ILOVEMYTEKUS and tag me in your pics! Cheers!
The moment you go through your beer storage and you find a best before 20/10/2017. Again I should be more organized but I just put the beer in the fridge with the big hope that everything would be alright. What is 4 months in the life of a beer except when some "weaker" hops have been used. I remember while working on a microbrewery plan reading everything and its opposite re the 2 years kinda agreement starting from the brew or the bottling. Here with this Little things that kill batch #0432 from the British hop heads @weirdbeardbrewco we go with some serious hops. All dual ones with the big alpha acid El Dorado, a killer on the bittering. With also Ariana and the British Olicana. Quite a big plan for a session IPA also brewed with wheat, oats and lactose. Poured a hazy straw color dress with a big persistent head. On the nose grapefruit is coming first, with a spicy pineapple, ripe peach, a green apricot. Can get also some herbal notes and a light pine effect. And it's bitter straight forward. A citrusy bitterness, a long lasting one, staying up the palate...Very solid for a beer supposed to be only a session. No alcohol feeling with a 3,9% ABV. Peach flavors, grapefruit, a shy mango with a solid body and a pleasant freshness. If as a start I couldn't get the lactose, this one is showing up while the beer is warming up. Makes me want to visit more of that brewery 😊 #londonbeerscene#britishbeer#weirdbeardbrewco#unitedkingdom#littlethingsthatkill
