Tuesday; Back day! One of my favourite days! 
1. Wide grip pull ups (5x10)
2. Close grip pull ups (5x10)
3. Wide (holding bar at very end) lat pull downs (pyramid 12,10,8,6)
4. Close grip standing lay pull downs - used two individual handles so I could pull hands a little past nipples - (pyramid 12,10,8,6).
5. Bent over barbell rows but lifting on the plates (saw this being done by someone I follow - sadly can’t remember who 🙈 but let me know and I will tag you) I like it as it means you get nice and wide and it is a little different! (5x8)
6. Bent over unilateral dumbbell rows (5x8) 
As you can see from the second photo, I am slowly getting there, getting dialled in. The obvious sign is that I am happy taking my top off in the gym 😂! Not bad for a 38 year old!

From this morning starting with squat cleans before 6 in the morning needs at least 20-30 minuets of mobility and warmup for me so first that and then 8 minuets AMRAP of 3 squat cleans @84 kg and 3,6,9,12,15 HSPU only HSPU increases etch round. After som bar MU practice can feel that I’m much lighter and more explosive witch feels great. Second workout 3 laps for time of 5 burpees bar muscles ups 10 box jumps over and 15 cal rowing. Pressing numbers have flown up in the past 6 weeks for Thibault. With a week off of training we’ll be rotating certain exercises around but still keep the same structure with regards to training split and outline

This is me all over today! I have to remember where i started its #benchpress  and i feel it us my weakest lift. I started not being able to #press the #barbell (20kilo) now i can press 60kilo in 7 months. It has been #arealstruggle to get to this point. Every session i have to fight!! On the outside this might just look like another post about a simple conditioning session, but it’s actually not.

For the first time in a long time I’ve moved away from the tactical type training and the longer (more general) training, into a more athletic type training and actually some aesthetics too.
——
The aim is to gain more lean muscle mass, increase my sprinting speed over 40 and 100 metres and improve other aspects such as jump height and distance.

The phase I’m in at the minute is strength. So I’m trying to increase the loads my body can handle whilst still maintaining some conditioning. The session in the video has been designed to reduce interference to my strength sessions. I’ve chosen heavy kettlebell swings @ 40kg and slam balls @ 18kg.

The session is 15 reps of both exercises done with maximum power and intent on each rep. The fatigue comes from the effort put into each rep rather than huge numbers of reps. There is 3 rounds with 90 seconds rest in between where I performed a set of calf raises as an accessory.

The session left me tired but not exhausted after my strength elements and actually felt good when I left. That is the secret to good quality strength training.
