"It's rare for him to visit."
"Indeed it is, Master Bruce."
"Did you call him?"
"No, I did not, Sir. Would you like me to? I don't believe he has stopped by the manor yet..."
"He hasn't. But, his brother was here earlier. Might explain things.”
It is indeed rare for Damian to visit. San Francisco to Gotham is a long flight for Goliath. Plus, the Teen Titans need their leader. However, his brother is in the area. Dick always sees Barbara at the clock tower around this time of year. Damian structured Goliath’s flight plan, including layovers for his pet’s rest. It was a total journey of three days.
As Dick steps through the window of the clocktower, a large shadow flies overhead. A shriek breaks the air as it passes. Dick turns towards Barbara.
“Take care, Babs. It was good to see you. Tell Dinah and Helena I said hi. Wish I could stay but, Blüdhaven’s calling.” He smiles, gives a short wave, and leans backwards out the window until he’s falling. A zip-line drags him towards his next pitstop. The familiar beast passes Grayson again.
“You’re not gonna stop to say hi?” And suddenly the two ton Goliath is on top of him slobbering all over Grayson’s face. Damian hops off his pet’s back.
“I apologize for Goliath’s…affection.” Grayson laughs and pats Goliath’s enormous snout.
“There’s no need, Damian. It’s nice to see you guys.”
“Thank you, Grayson. Goliath, heel!” The bat rises and takes to Robin’s side, allowing Grayson to stand.
|Beginning of Forever|
The day started off normal, and as usual Barbara watched out the morning window just finishing her patrol for the night, a hot glass of coffee warmed her body as she watched the sun as it rises for another day... There was a time Barbara could remember where the only thing she worried about was if she was going to get the new toy she wanted or the candy bar she asked for... She never had to worry about how dirty Gotham was... But the town wasn't always this bad... As she aged so did the town, the criminals and the hero's... Over time Gotham got worse and worse and right now.. It doesn't look like it will ever be the town it use to be... Not with the damage... Sewage in lakes roads destroyed... So much damage. Barbara was pushed from her daydream as her phone went off, she didn't bother looking who it was, she didn't want to ruin her relaxing moment.. She only got so many..
Barbara yawned softly as she set her empty glass down looking at the damage on her costume from the last few nights, slashes and gashes. "Rough nights leads to rough mornings..." She muttered looking around her cluttered apartment. "And busy nights lead to messy apartments.... Ugh.." She groaned softly as she began to clean up her week of mess. She spent the day cleaning knowing she had to get her apartment clean before her dad came over for dinner that night, as said, she sped to clean as quickly as possible until there wasn't anything to clean but her own sweat off her body. As the sunset on the city, barbara scattered to get tea and coffee going and patiently waits for her father to arrive.
Sometime passed, she knew when her father meant 6 he 'means' 8-9.
Hearing a knock on the door the redheaded girl stood rather quickly grabbing the door, she expected her father but the moment she made eye contact her body froze.. Her heart sank seeing the skin bleached goon she knew all to well.... Joker. Standing in her doorway he wore an tourist kind of style, cheesy for this area, her thoughts disrupted with a echoing laughter "HAHAHAHAHAHAAH! JUST THOUGHT I'D STOP BY!" Barbara went to slam the door the moment her body finally unfroze, but he was a s
